Pitching fix mabye??

Ok so here is what i did, i took default everything rosters sliders everything.

Then i went and simmed 10 seperate seasons.

Each time i recorded the stats for Vazquez of the chi-sox.

I then took default everything again, but i went in an edited Mr. Vazquez.

I had determined from earlier tests that if i lowered his pitch accuracy for every pitch 45 clicks it would make pitching more of a challange and i would walk people.

I then simmed another 10 seasons.

If i posted all the stats ( and please dont make me do it my god 20 seasons would be a pain) I would bet big money you guys would never EVER be able to tell what seasons he was edited and what seasons he was default.

Leading me to wonder if we could just do globel edit (sorta speak) of the pitchers. I could use some help from you guys figuring out if this is a viable solution.

Please keep in mind if you try this and your fav pitcher has a bad year that it is just a snapshot. You have to sim at least 5 years in my opinion to see that there seems to be no effect.

What is the pitching problem you are trying to solve?

I have not simmed a season yet.

Still tweaking sliders.

Global editing is not a viable option IMO due to the fact as seasons progress and new players come into the league they are being based on the games "ratings engine", etc.

i'm not sure how simmed seasons turn out with pitchers and walks but i know that using classic i walk my fair share of cpu hitters, certainly enough for my tastes.

heck, i cant walk less then 1 an inning with harden!
last game i pitched with him i walked 5, and 3 back to back...the guy is all over the place!

I have no idea how some people in these forums are playing the same game sometime. I can throw a first pitch strike on the CORNER 90 percent of the time using classic with skyboxers or anyone elses sliders for that matter. Sure i can walk people to if i do it intentinally but i can count on my fingers how many people i have walked in this game when it was not what i intended to do.

I make this statement after playing alot of games.

well i use API and i let the cacther call my game..so with pitcher with low control like harden, its very hard to nibble the corners like the cacthers ask me too....

btw i use HOf, pitch movment at 20 and pitch control at default...
i found that HOF is a lot harder to control the pitches than inAllstar

this is a REAL problem this year. I agree with you 100 percent!....there is no 2 ways about it. It is easier to throw strikes this year with classic pitching, all aids off and pitch command at 0 and pitch movement at 20. This will lead toless walks.

drawing walks on the other hand i have had no problems with.

I came up with some pitching edits for myself and some people who find user pitching too easy. This is on HOF by the way. I will PM you this information right now trauma.

Change it to meter pitching then. You will find it a lot harder to pitch on the coners. There is the fix to your problem right there.

Pitching works for me. I press the button to select a pitch, press X, and the pitcher throws the ball toward home like I would expect. Doesn't seem broken to me.

They were having problems with throwing strikes being too easy but that is because they are using classic pitching and not meter pitching which is all you need to solve this problem.

No its actually much easier to pitch with meter. You can paint the corners in a coma on meter.

If you dont have the pitching ball marker OFF, then try that. I am positive you will walk batters, and probably get clobbered in your first game with it off.

I know on the "PSP" it is very hard to paint the corners and I walk a lot of people. It probably is just the psp version because the meter is so small it is hard to hit that "perfect" spot. I haven't played the Show on a console since 06 so I was just trying to help but that is all you need to do on the PSP.
