The Patch Thread

I am not a programmer and i have no idea what things can and can't be edited when it comes to this years game.

However i do know the Kolbe and Chris should be off there well deserved break soon and i think it would be nice to give them some idea as to what we really think could be a little better.

I dont want this thread to turn into a thousand different topics however. If we want them to fix anything we have to give them a clear picture of what we want fixed.

I think if people here posted there top 3 GAMEPLAY issues we would get a much better idea what the community as whole thinks needs a little work.

Please stick to the big picture, saying someones batting stance is wrong or pitching delivary does not help anyone as it is not gameplay and overall not that important.


My list as of now would be

1. Stolen Bases (way to many)
2. Pitching (To easy)
3. Hit variety (Most hits are lasers)

I would also add fielder speed but at least so far we have proven we can fix it with roster edits.

1. Position player fatigue in Franchise mode. Players tire too quicky.

2. Pitcher Fatigue. Pitchers fatigue too quickly, especially in MOM mode where the at-bats are usually longer. 3 of my 5 starters can only pitch 3 innings before being completely gased. That is ridiculous.

3. Stat bugs.

1- PLEASE make the OF and IF individual sliders work.(i know the chance of this is remote, but still, thats what i want the most right now)

2- Fix the boxscore bugs(walkoff Hrs, double swicth messing up all the boxscore)

Fix the multiple auto saves that save on the HDD.

My list as of now would be

Pared's sliders fix all 3 of those things....I have never seen so much hit variety in a game !!! Choppers , slow rollers, dunker's, dribblers, seeing eye singles, bloopers & HR's and line drives....I got 3 doubles in a game (2 down the foul lines) and I didn't have to influence or aim a single hit, also the CPU will punish mistakes......Try these sliders out

I agree. I think a lot depends on your play level and style, but I play on All Star with everything off as far as strike zone and guess pitch go. I'm 0-3. I get lots of hit variety, and have had hitters make me pay for making mistakes. I've even had guys just lose their command for no real reason. The only thing I haven't seen enough of, though, is walks to CPU batters. The command loss is probably a tad infrequent, though the meter system is better tuned this year to be less forgiving. You might try classic pitching if meter is too easy.

give the cpu a much needed hitting boost, esp. on HOF, as far as pitching goes i use classic with my command at -10 and find i walk all kinds of cpu hitters, so to me thats not a problem.

Ok well i dont want to speak for everyone but i think we can all agree so far on the stolen bases, and the box score (walk off glitch) as needing a patch.

Lets see if there is more we can all agree on.

1. OF speed!!! I really think this is fixable, just make the sliders work.

2. Walks for CPU.

3. Fix the HOF-difficulty, I think...no, I know it's broken. All-Star works perfect, but HOF is a joke. It should be much more challenging, the cpu-offense should take care of mistakes.

AND the stat bugs in the franchise/season-mode. If anything is fixed, this game will be MUCH better.
