Re: GAMEPLAY Changes after the 18th april patch

It is 100% a placebo effect! The only thing they may have "fixed" is the HOF cpu-hitting.
I don't think they ever gonna release a patch where they fix anything of the gameplay, why should they. It seems like they were satisfied with it when they dropped it 6 weeks ago.

I can live with the most issues the game has, only the high amount of hits (for me, not the CPU) could be a concern for me the longer I play the game.

I just hope they take care of the things we mentioned about the 08-version like user-hitting, user-walks, cpu-pitching, stolen bases, of-speed and fix it in 09.

Yeah, I'm going to retract my earlier statements about the cpu hitting being improved. I've been messing around with sliders and to be honest, they have me all bugaboo. I'm back to Nemesis latest for the most part now. Can't wait to hear the official report on these.

        You are wrong.

Plain and simple they adjusted reaction time.

Whatever change they made its basically the same effect as you would have had by going ---10 on your reaction time slider. I think some people may not be noticing any effect of the patch cus mabye there sliders are at -10 already.

This is not placebo i have played many many games and i know what things look like.

Im sure there will be slider adjustments needed down the line but i would suggest everyone play a few games at true default. Watch your fielders on ground balls into the holes, you will see.

I can't tell any difference in the gameplay. I was kind of trying to make myself believe that something was changed, Placebo-style, while I was playing.

I think there is a slight change in reaction time, not much, but the fielders seem to move more fluid.

The only things I noticed were the following:

                - Better CPU hit quality/more hits for the CPU
                - Faster HUM/CPU fielders

I have played 3 games since the patch and have noticed a slight increase in CPU hitting. I gave up 7 HR in 2 games which I hadn't done before. This was on all-star too BTW.

This is redundant. Discuss gameplay changes in the post-patch impressions thread located here:
