I kinda think it's about right, it feels right to me at least. When you are hitting with Hamels or Kazmir, you just feel at a great disadvantage but every so often you're able to scrap out a hit. To me, that's how I feel when I'm watching my team play and my pitcher comes up to bat; he's almost certainly going to get out but there's a very slight chance that he'll actually get on base. Kazmir is an AL pitcher so I would guess his batting attributes are probably a decent amount lower than Hamels. I'm not a Phillies fan but I think Hamels is at best an average hitting pitcher.

Of course not. However, I haven't seen anything like that. No pitcher in the 30-40 demo games I've played has hit the ball remotely well on any pitch that wasn't pretty much right down the middle.Comment

hamels is not an at best average hitting pitcher....
he is clearly above average for PITCHERS.
he hit .224 last year man....and even the outs he made he rarely looked foolish like most pitchers when they get on. That said, in the demo, i havent had much trouble in getting him outComment

Edit:
However, Hamels's contact rating against left handers isn't good at all. So, against Kazmir he should be an easy out.Last edited by Phoenixmgs; 02-14-2009, 06:05 AM.Comment

Re: something i decided to work on
I'm playing Allstar and with no sliders and it's working perfectly for me. I'm going to try to avoid the sliders this year because it got too frustrating last year with all the different slider sets. This year the game seems to play perfectly out of the boxComment

Re: something i decided to work on
I've just been messing with the global sliders myself because almost everything feels really good. I could see lowering user contact a bit and possibly solid hits a touch as well to allow for more blooper base hits. I don't want to mess with any of the user or CPU sliders until the final build. I really feel there aren't going to be sliders sets this year with major changes because I really think '09 will play so solid that people will just be making minor adjustments; something like I'm hitting a few too many HRs so the power slider should be lowered by 1 and stuff like that.Comment
