    any allstar...swing only sliders?

I don't use the left stick at all at hitting. My gaming skills are slowing down and I have a problem trying to move the circle onto the ball....blah blah

anyway...any other swing only guys have a good set of sliders? My main problem now is timing. Everything is too early...maybe a slider set can help.

    Just wondering.

Hmm, this old fart really wishes he could play that way too, but has major concerns.

correct me if I am wrong....

But by not moving the left stick, aren't you leaving yourself completely unable to cover/hit low or high strikes?

The proof I offer is that if you turn on the PCI (Plate Coverage Indicator), you'll see it covers the bulk of the strike zone for most hitters but not all of the strike zone.

Further, the quality of your hits is affected by how much you center the ball in the hitting zone when you swing. So leaving the left stick alone means you will only make great contact on pitches down the middle.

This "timing-only hitting" seemed to work last year (The Show 08) from what others said (never tried it myself, I used the left stick) but the word so far this year seems to be that the left stick is MUCH MUCH more important for hitting.

I've always used the left stick but recently I've just been using the swing button and have actually had better results. More hit variety and less strikeouts because I have less to work with. But
I have been using trinitys veteran sliders but on all star and have had some great games with them
      LA Angels
      Dallas Cowboys
      Anaheim Ducks

Raise the pitch speed slider and the human timing slider.

I agree with this. I'm a timing only guy so I have to make two adjustments to the sliders to help me. One - boost contact a little. Two and more importantly - drop down cpu control. The more mistakes they make, the more pitches end up in the middle to be hit harder. If a good pitcher hits his spots all game, I struggle but I'm fine with that.

I'm doing the same... raising User Contact and lowering CPU Pitcher Strike Frequency and Consistency.

And still determined to get better at moving the left stick. For me, it's all about concentrating on watching the ball come out of the pitcher's hand..... just like real baseball!

I'm also taking advice from the board. Sometimes I just guess high or low, and move the stick up there. I swing if the pitch is where i was looking.
