Timing slider and consequences of change

I raised the hitting timing slider one click from default because I just blow at hitting so far. Did the same for the CPU. Doing so resulted in increased offense (for me, the CPU didn't fare as well), but also seemingly many more hits up the middle.

This makes sense, obviously, but I am wondering if anybody has seen similar results from timing slider movement over a good sample size.

Re: Timing slider and consequences of change

I have raised the timing slider for me and I notice a difference in hitting as well. The problem I have with hitting is I can not locate hits at all. In other words, I can not aim to hit a ball down the line or up the middle. I am on Vet. and I have tried swing only and left stick and cant seem to locate hits.

Any hits down the line seem like luck to me.

I believe hit location is all about timing (like in real life).... swing early on an outside pitch to hit it the opposite way... swing early on an inside pitch to pull it.

I think they have done an amazing job of mimicing real life....it comes down to split-second timing on your swing.

If you adjust sliders and Pitch Speed enough, you will begin to see the hits you want. I've got Pitch Speed all the way down now (-5), and I'll bring it up if i'm hitting too much.

I have mine down to 0. I want to be in control of when I swing at pitches and pay for the consequences. The only think I needed to do to balance this was raise the foul ball slider a notch.

i had mine at 0 for the same reason BLZR, but for some reason am early on EVERYTHING this year. i had to raise pitch speed almost all the way because i was just way early on every pitch almost. not sure what my deal is.
