All Star, pitch speed of 5. I have HUM contact down to 2 cpu at 3.

I took fouls down to 6 also, and this greatly helped with doubles, and the CPU hitting. (I hit 5 doubles in the first 2 innings off Randy Johnson).

Do you see any Human fielding errors with these sliders?

I need help... I'm in my Redsox Franchise. Using the latest sliders with a notch down for pitch speed. My record is 6-11. I'm second to last in RBI's. My hit totals re ok, but just can't generate any rallys... My pitching for the season is 4.06. IU just need to see more offense from my team. What can I change????

Try turning down pitch speed. This will give you more time to recognize the pitch. I was having trouble on default and bumped it down 2 clicks. I now average between 7-10 hits a game whereas before I was averaging around 5.

I don't think this is slider related. Are you grounding out, flying out, or striking out? How many pitches are the opposing pitchers throwing?

Through about 20 games I have about a .200 BA. I get about 4-5 swings a game where I guess pitch n location with wheelhouse contact and perfect timing, but these are always outs. What should I change, I'm hating the game the more I play. The computer doesn't hit the ball very well either. my ERA is like 2. VERY FRUSTRATED!!

I have been knocking the crap out of the ball! In 3 series Ludwick has 6 home runs, Glaus 2, Ankiel 2, Rasmus 2, Molina 1, Feese 1, Duncan 1, & Pujols has 0, lol! Im leading the league in homers and i believe 4th in batting average, .305, and im 7-2. Its odd when i first started using these sliders i was complaining about getting home runs.

take a look at my amendments above (HUM contact at 2, timing at 3), they really make this game a blast if your a good hitter. In fact, they force you to use the power swing in fast ball counts, or with a runner on first.

I have been thinking about lowering human hitter related sliders but i just wasnt sure which one i should adjust. I'll give your adjustments a shot and see how that goes.

Here are adjustments i have made:

Pitch Speed: 4 (may bump it back to 5 since i lowered some cpu pitching sliders)

                        Human:
                        Pitcher control: 5
Pitcher consistency: 3 (i'm actually giving up walks now!)

                        CPU
                        Pitcher control: 5
                        Pitcher consistency: 3
                        Strike frequency: 1
Pick Offs: 6 (no clue why everyone is lowering this because i do not see any pick off attempts even at 6, may raise it more)

*I also was thinking about lowering Fouls, to many high pitch counts.

Re: pick offs, do you lead off?

I am so stoked with the HUM hitting sliders, seeing the best games; only striking out about 3-7 times a game, walking 2 to 5 times. Love it.

It's a blast incorporating the power swing and seeing a crushed double or *gasp* triple with these after walking twice. A typical game will be like 7 hits 4 or 5 runs and an error.

The fouls at 6 really increases both the HUM and CPU doubles.

(btw, Zambrano hit a jack against me last game, I love it!)

I tend to hit the ball right to the fielder most of the time.. Other times it depends..I tend to strikeout more on the low curve or slider that breaks. Opposing pitchers probably avg about 70 pitches per game on me..

yikes. def. not a slider problem.

Try this. Put the controller on the floor for every first pitch, don't touch it. If it is a ball, do the same for the next pitch.

Monitor what pitches the CPU has confidence in, if they're curve or slider is high, you can better anticipate getting those in 0-1, 0-2, 1-2, 2-2 counts.

For the time being (until you can better recognize pitches) NEVER SWING AT A BREAKING BALL when behind in the count! If is is in the strike zone (maybe about 5% of the time), then you'll get caught looking, so be it; pick your battles.

(Like wearing down the CPU to 80, 90, pitches and sitting on his curveballs in the zone or weak fastball and crushing them for doubles!)

Sounds like you absolutely need to learn patience - ex. opposing pitchers usually average 70 pitches against me through about 4 1/3 innings.

I actually let the CPU do my base running. Do you not feel that pitching is to automatic with control and consistency set to 6? Also do you use meter or classic pitching?
