Check the wind every game, it seems to really matter. Also, if you are in the Nati, that is a band box (I have been to a ton of games there). Give it about 20 games before deciding on user power. If it is still too high, I would drop it 1 or 2 depending on your skill. I am pretty happy with it so far in all of my franchises, even the Red Sox one.

Take timing down. I am contact 1, timing 3, and hit way more triples and doubles than home runs.

I'm approaching 20 games into my new season with Toronto. I'll post up stats when the time comes

Although, I ended up turning down my User Control to 5 because my pitching has become too good. I also turned down User Consistency too.

Has anyone been able to locate the CPU comeback and pitcher confidence options? I can't find them. I looked everywhere. any help?

ok i finally got to opening day (since d/l'ing the 1.07 patch) been fiddlin with the all-star sliders since then...figured a guy named Dr. gotta know what he's talking about (lol)

anyway....one of the best games ive played to date. I took Tampa into Boston and won 3-2...with a go ahead HR in the 8th. Pena's 2nd of the game. The first was off Beckett, the 2nd off Lopez...My Rays got 3 runs on 10 hits, and Boston got 2 runs on 11 hits...we wont talk about strikeouts lol...i got sat down on strikes 9 times (i HATE Beckett lol) I K'd up Boston 9 times tho as well

Glad to hear you had a good game FunkDockta.
I love the sliders so far, but I am debating whether CPU power should be 6 or 7 (5 was too low for stats). Did you play with CPU power at 6 or 7?

pbz, The Chef, sorry if I missed it, but what did you guys settle in at with CPU power? pbz, did you change any other CPU hitting sliders? I tried some other combos, but always came back to what I have posted except I can't decide on 6 or 7 for CPU power (5 was definitely not good stat-wise or play-wise).

I have put these sliders on Sports Connect now (but, with CPU power at 7, everything else is the same) since I am very very happy with how they play. Stats have been coming out really good too after playing many games (at least for my ability).

Forgot to mention. Play about 10+ games before deciding about my sliders (or anyone's for that matter). I have had some high scoring games and some pitching duels with these (with CPU power at 6 or 7). We'd love to hear your feedback here. Take care.

CPU power at 7....i loved it....i missed a spot on a slider that went high inside on Papi, and he ripped it! Garza went 6 inn, and gave up 2 ER, same as Beckett...Garza wasnt in when the 2 run scored but he put the guy on in the 6th when I put Balfour in...Balfour went 1.2...put Howell in for .1, then Percival for the Save...was an awesome game...i didnt feel like the CPU owned me for a change...im not soooo worried about realism as i want more competitive games...games where im sweating, wether win or lose. I felt like if i didnt pull Garza early, the game woulda blown open in favor of Boston....I was happy...im going to go play the 2nd game of the series....ill let ya know how it goes

I'm still at CPU Power at 7. It's been giving me the best results. I doubt there's a significant drop off at 6, just depends on how many homeruns you're giving up and what you feel is right. I haven't played all weekend though nor through last night. I've been really busy with real life, and catching the NBA/NHL playoffs on my free time. But right now through close to 20 games with Toronto, I've been giving up a hair under 1 homerun per game which is really close to MLB average. Toronto has a good pitching staff so it may or may not be too much CPU Power if I play as a weaker team.

My CPU Hitting sliders are still the same:

                          Contact 3
                          Power 7
                          Timing 4
                          Fouls 5
                          Solid Hits 3

And note, my skill level has gotten better so I actually lowered my User Pitching sliders (Control and Consistency). I'm trying that route before raising anything from the CPU hitting. There's a fine line somewhere between those sliders (User Pitching and CPU hitting) that results in unfair advantage for one side or the other.

                            F Boston!!!!!!!!

                            lol

The rat finks beat me with a sac fly in the bot of the 9th....had Balfour still in from late in the 8th, he only faced 2 batters, and was fine....so i let him pitch the 9th, 2-1 lead just started warming up Percival...couldnt get an out!...til the sac fly anyway lol

                            i got 2 runs on 11 hits
the Red Sawx 3 runs on 10 hits

as for strikeouts, i got struck out 6 times facing Dice K
and I got the Sawx 7 times (6 with Kazmir, 1 with Balfour)

I shoulda won it handily, but whoever they got in LF toyed with my emotions all day...next game, I'm not trying to stretch any singles to doubles...lol, i made alot of bad running mistakes...

I have had a lot of fun with these sliders. I just decided to increase the CPU power to 7 and restart my franchise. I have really liked the fun factor with these sliders. There are some games I dominate and some the CPU dominates, but many many competetive games in between. But, most of all, I feel like with these sliders the CPU plays more fair. And I like drawing walks. Stats actually were looking really good after 20+ games, except for HRs (that's why I increased the CPU power to 7 today). I am going to play my first game with that setting tonight.
