    starter stamina

Quick question..1.In my franchise I have my pitcher stamina at 6. I get about 6 good innings and about 75-80 pitches from him. How do you have yours set and how many quality innings do you get before he gets wild? By the way I use classic pitching.

I was having this problem and I had moved the slider 3 clicks up...I started tapping the X button most of the time, rather than holding it down (which I used to do). I only hold it down on 'big pitches', like with 2 strikes etc...

I've had several complete games and several games where I can get my starters to 100-120 pitches. Much better.

I read somewhere on here that it doesn't affect the pitch speed if you hold the button longer, but does it use more energy?

? what would be the reason for holding it down then? I am pretty sure it DOES effect the speed. When I hold it into the red I get a more amped pitch speed for sure!

I was just saying yes to it using more energy. The longer you hold the button, the more effort you put into the pitch. He was wrong about it not affecting velocity. With a fastball, it will go a bit fast the longer you hold it down, with breaking pitches, they will break more (and I THINK with changeups, they go slower the longer you hold the button down).

This goes for both meter and classic pitching.

I don't think that's the case with Classic.

For example, using the same pitcher...the velocity seems to be "random" based on the pitcher's attributes.

I noticed that when I release "X" at the same time (for this example let's say I do it at the end of the windup, right before he plants his leg), all the pitches will have the same range of 2-3mph (give or take) even when I release "X" earlier.

I noticed I throw 95mph heat (given the pitcher capable of doing go) whether I hold it down longer, or release it quicker.

Yep, i just raised that slider up 2 clicks, because I was in the same exact situation all the time. 6 innings and or 75 pitches or so, and whoever I was pitching with was done.
