Question about sliders related to power/homeruns

I've used a few different sets of sliders from here and no matter what, I just can't hit for power. I'm finally hitting consistently and averaging around 6 to 10 hits a game, but if I get 10 hits I'd say 8 or 9 of them are singles. Maybe I'll have one homerun and a rare double or triple, but I never have multiple extra-base hits in a game.

So, my question is: if I want to hit for more power, what sliders should I be adjusting? I currently play with my contact at 5, power at 8, timing and solid hits both at 5. Any advice on what I should be adjusting to help my play?

Those settings should be enough for All-Star.

It's probably not what you want to hear, and it might sound like a jab (which is not), but you can probably just get better at hitting, especially with your timing.

The homeruns are there...you can hit them with anybody if the pitch is in the wheelhouse and you time it perfectly, even with guys like David Eckstein or Chone Figgins

Me personally, I don't have trouble hitting 2, sometimes 3 doubles per game. My homeruns come more in bunches. I either go like 3 or 4 games without hitting any, or then go a stretch of 5 games where I hit 2 per game.

That's what I figured. Do you think I need to increase anything, like timing just until I start hitting more consistently or does it really not make a difference?

Yea, try putting Power at 8, and increase your Timing and Contact to 7 at first.

If you start bashing them too easily, you can start decreasing. Sliders all work together, and it depends on the User. If you are seeing too many singles and high batting averages, then turn down your Contact. If you are seeing too many homeruns, try turning down Timing first. Once you get better at your timing and still hit more homeruns, you can click down the Power another notch.

        It's just a feel thing.

ALSO, you can also try turning down the Pitch Speed slider to 0. That has helped me wonders in becoming a better hitter. Sometimes you don't even need to increase your hitting sliders, but just decrease pitch speed so you can judge the pitches better and learn which ones to lay off or whatever and improve your timing.

I play on Legend with power at 5 and get plenty of HR's, almost too many. It really boils down to timing. A well timed swing on a pitch in the wheelhouse is going to be a HR a considerable amount of the time.

If I was you, I would up the timing slider. If your swings aren't timed right, you won't hit a HR regardless of power.

Also change your hitting view to wide or high, it helps with the timing IMO.

For me, I have found unless the pitch is up and in the center, if I want to hit gappers and strong power hits off the wall, etc. I have to use the L stick. Basically, I sit on a pitch up and in the middle or in the middle of the plate. If I don't get it, and the count is no longer in my favor, I then use the L stick, unless of course its not a good pitch. It does make it harder to lay off bad pitches using the L stick, that is why I think you should do the aforementioned. With my sliders, I get plenty of HRs and doubles, gappers, etc.
