    Too many user strikeouts

Hey fellas, thanks for all the slider work and research: Special thanks to Pbz for his pitching analysis, phoenix, psycho, Dr. U, bcruise, the chef, davewin and of course the legendary nemesis who is the father of all sliders.

Anyway, just one thought. I'm striking out 8-10x on average but my boxscores are darn near perfect. I'm seeing at least 2-3 extra base hits per game (HR,dbles) and 8-10 hits per game.

Walks are perfect imo, 3-4 per game. My team batting average is .263. OBP is .343 and SLG is .425.

I notice alot of you guys post detailed results and see many have 9-10k games like me. I play on HOF and feel a lower level is not the answer as I'm playing good enough on HOF.

I lowered pitch speed and play with user hitting sliders at default.

I noticed that if your timing is literally off by a sec, I miss well thrown changeups and sliders. Has anyone figured which slider or combination of sliders will lower user strikeouts...I'm not talking striking out the cpu.

Of course if any solution leads to 15 hit games, I'll take the strikeouts (lol)

Timing (and / or contact) but I'd go with timing first...

In TheAub's stat averages sticky, it says that the average amount of K's per game is around 13. ou might be close to that when you total yours with the CPU...

Not sure how many games you have played, but I noticed that after about 25, my K count went from 9-12 to 3-5...you just 'see' the balls vs. strikes better out of the pitcher's hand...

In order of importance to combat this would be:

      1-Timing

      2-Contact

      3-Fouls

I would try increasing your timing slider first to see if that helps. If it does but still need more start adjusting contact. Be careful with contact because that is where the hits will pile up. Fine tune with fouls after that.

Hope all is well pberardi! Good luck! PM me if you need any further help.

        Re: Too many user strikeouts

I too sometimes have games where I strike out too much, in the 10-13 range....the funny thing is, this happens against junk lower tier pitchers who throw a little bit wild and a lot of breaking pitches.

I haven't adjusted the sliders to combat this, because I just tried focusing more. I would do what Nemesis just said. And what King said is true, after a while it is possible to drastically reduce the K's just by really focusing.

A realistic amount is to get it within the 5-7 K range per team.

You're right! The soft tossers give me the most trouble.

I'll try timing with one or two clicks at first. Focus is key, I agree. But the AI is much better this year for every level.

Thanks for the advice fellas. Timing is the key slider. I'll go from there.
