    Constantly changing sliders

I find myself after every game in my season changing the sliders around because i felt a certain part of the game was unrealistic...so i have been doing some thinking about maybe creating a set of sliders to use at home and a separate set to use for road games...this way i can create some type of home field advantage which doesn't exist in the game...i really would like to find a set of sliders and stay w/ them for the season but i have been unable, so i'm just wondering what do some of you guys/gals do in your franchise. Do you leave them a certain way, or do you find yourself switching around a lot. I find that this also balances the inconsistency found throughout a baseball season...especially since i play w/ the atlanta braves, i mean they're a team that can score no runs w/ two hits one day, and then the next game get 10 runs on 18 hits. And it's impossible to recreate this w/ just one set of sliders i feel...

What? this goes against most peoples thinking.

What I have done in the past many years of sliders is do what you do. Just tweak after every game - not much but sooner or later things normalize and then you have the perfect sliders!! FOR YOU!

In my opinion it is a big mistake adjusting sliders after every game. Remember, baseball is a game of averages which need to be looked at with a certain amount of games played to determine trends. If certain categories track unrealistically then I would adjust to bring those things in line.

Legend difficulty, no slider changes and/or tweaks. "Out of the box", so to speak.

              Sense prevails.

Changing sliders based on one game is nothing short of insanity.

If you throw a no hitter or lose 18-3, it doesnt mean your sliders need adjusting.

People really need to wait at least 20/30 games before tampering, preferably more.

                Re: Constantly changing sliders

Me, personally, have tried a lot of sliders but have been using All Star (almost default) truned fielder speed down 2 clicks (-2). The only slider I have adjusted and have stuck with that for the past 100 games. Im currently 6.5 games behind the Sox and am 6 games in the wildcard lead.

I don't want to get into the trap of adjusting sliders so I like to think that default sliders are the way the game was meant to be played. If I have to constantly change my sliders, I wouldnt be having any fun with the game.

I agree with this for the most part and I won't change the hitting and pitching sliders but most of my tweaks come on the number of errors or assists I'm seeing. I figure if I'm seeing a lot of errors in the first month of the season that's probably going to continue. I guess it's possible for teams to go into defensive slumps but you shouldn't have 11 errors in 15 games from your infield. My 3rd baseman has 5 already, SS with 4, and 2nd baseman with 2.

It's crazy. The whole thing on sliders also is that your using someone else's setup. That person isn't you and doesn't even present you timing , vision, or style of play,.
Now why would you use someone else's slider settings. It doesn't make sense for a baseball game.

What also is funny is how many versions they create in a month.

The only slider adjustments I make is from the games I play, and adjust what I feel is unbalanced. The only sliders I touched in this game is pitching consistency, base runners speed, fielding errors , and throwing errors.
Everything else is perfect where it is.
