CPU v CPU ps2 v ps3
I know its late in the game but as per my taste w/baseball sliders and reviewing results of slider manipulation, it seems that CPU v CPU and MOM flows a bit better w/the ps2 version. I made this discovery after purchasing the ps2 version of the Show out of curiousity regarding how it plays in comparison to the ps3 version (I've had alot of difficulty finding a set of sliders that "holds" and over time continues to play the way that I intend it to). What I found was that for the sliders that I use for both versions i.e. pitch spd 1, solid contact 3, power 5, there is more variety with the type of hits that I see in the ps2 version. In addition, I don't notice the more obvious scripted games or comeback code issue or what ever you want to call it. Instead, the games seem much more fair and in context of what an MLB game should really be really like. Even ball speed when adjusted, stays within the context of what I am looking for. I think this may be due to the number of development cycles this game has had w/ps2 vs the development cycle for ps3 (even though the developers have done an amazing job with the amount of time that they have had w/the ps3 version). The subtleties between both systems are not far apart but its just amazing to me that the ps2 results in a better overall feel of baseball.Tags: None
