Re: manager hook
Im going to bump manager hook up to 6. Wouldnt mess with SP stamina cuz it would affect ur pitcher as well, plus i think the stamina is ok anyway for starters at least.Comment

Re: manager hook
I think you have it backwards there Mike.
The description says right to take their pitcher out sooner, but it does say the situation is always the dominant factor.
I have only played spring training games so far and the CPU takes its starters out after 3 innings and the relievers out after 1. I did however put the tying run on 2nd in the bottom of the 9th in my last game and they brought the closer in to get the last 2 outs. That seemed like the right time to make that move.Comment

Re: manager hook
I think it may needs to be lowered a tick...more if you're playing the Reds
Seriously though, while I haven't experienced anything as outrageous as the Halladay situation noted above, I faced the Giants and was getting blown out...yet they kept Lincecum into the 8th inning despite 117 pitches.
I mean...that's not an astronomical amount or anything, but he wasn't throwing a no-hitter or even a shutout...I had scored one run, gotten four walks off him and also 5 hits...so...it seemed a bit of a stretch that he was still in there.Comment

Re: manager hook
How long did it take to play those games? How did your pitcher not drop dead on the field? A HUNDRED INNINGS? That's more than an average of a normal (9 inning game) 11 games per game! How many pitches did he throw? He must have thrown more than a thousand pitches in over a 100 innings.Last edited by Big Shmooz; 03-08-2010, 03:35 PM.Comment
