    Sliders For Errors?

Anyone have good sliders for errors. I've yet to commit an error on manual fielding in 8 games and the CPU has only made 1.

I got fielder errors at -1 right now, I saw a bit too many fielding errors. I have throwing errors at +2 for now as I've only seen one throwing error so far.

I think I have my fielding errors at 6 or 7 and my throwing errors at default.
I had one go through Jeter's legs and had the CPU throw one into the dugout.
I tried fielding E's maxed for a game and every CPU infielder booted a ball. Wasn't seeing many at default there so I went in the middle.

I have at 7. Have had four kind of errors so far. Aybar can`t catch the ball and the runner reach base. I mean, not between his legs, he stops the ball with the glove. Twice in a game, in fact
Another between fielder`s legs and another with a pick off bad thrown by Pinto (Marlins) direct to the stands. Another, when 1b is not whit the feet at first base when catching

              What are total league errors?

              To go off of:
2009 AL Averaged 95 errors per team
NL Averaged 96 Errors per team
              MLB Average was 95

I'll have to check my franchise when I get hoem and see where I'm at?
I knwo so far I've seen a dropped fly ball, booted grounders, miss plays off OF wall and drops/non pick ups at FB.

What settings are you using? I'm probably closing in on 75 games total throughout different modes and I'm yet to see an outfielder drop one. I also haven't seen any balls misplayed off the wall. In fact, that's a complaint I have about the game..the CPU fielders play caroms with precision seemingly every time..even in visiting ballparks.

My error settings are at default though, so maybe this is one I have to crank up some. I just hate moving things too far from default if I can help it.

I'm at default also for fielding with throwing errors up 2.

Yeah I've had a couple mis-plays off the wall..very cool when they happened.

It seems like having both at 8 is good.

At 9 it's too many errors, at 7 is too few.

has anyone come to any conclusions on error sliders yet?? where should we put fielding/throwing errors? I've heard everything from default to 10! so i'm kinda confused here...

8 for throwing, and 7 for fielding

seeing the perfect amount of errors for CPU and User....lots of good variety too.

statistically it's in line with MLB averages

                            Re: Sliders For Errors?

IMO, the error lsider sjust makes the game worse in this regard ...

I get an accurate numbers of errors per game (39 combined errors -- both teams; 38 team games).

The PROBLEM is who makes em. It's almsot always shortstops, and even the very good ones.

Brendan Ryan has 11 errors in 34 games played. I've seen other data presented where guys like Adam Everett have 18 errors in 50 games, when 18 errors is a season's worth for a defense standout like Everett.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason for it. Just like reaction doesn't seem to be ratings-related, neither does errors. All types of fielders make spectacular plays on a regular basis, and even the bets fielders make errors at the same rates as the worst guys.

                            Goofy.

I see what you're saying, but I think this is easy to overlook. It really doesn't matter (to me, at least) who makes the error so long as they're happening at an acceptable rate.

For the record I'm at 7 for fielding, 8 for throwing. Thinking back on my last 50 games or so, both could probably be bumped up a notch.
