I had strike frequency at 3/10 and it just felt like those first few pitches of the at-bat were "fake." I don't know how else to explain it. If seemed like if the CPU pitcher did miss, he would blatantly miss. It just didn't feel real.

That is how I felt when I had it down to zero, so I set it up higher, but at default I just felt like every pitcher I was facing was throwing through a tea cup, and was always jumping ahead.

Set at three, there are at bats where the pitcher will get ahead 0-2, and I am in a really bind, and some times I can sit back and the pitcher throws two balls.

My next step is to try and get the human pitching sliders right so that I have the same sort of 50/50 chance of getting afirst pitch over for a strike. That I have yet to get. I keep bouncing between being able to paint the corner with a laser, and being unable to throw to the corner at all, and the only strike I can throw eats up huge amounts of the plate and is always hammered.

Been working awesome for me, I don't even consider changing them when looking at other slider sets

yhea, i raised control back up to 5 after too many wild pitches and hit batters.

I think I will lower strike frequency to compensate.

Lowering the Control leads to either (a) completely wild pitch, or (b) meatball down the middle

absolutly, so I figured that it is a slider not worth ever considering lowering. 5 is the lowest it should be set for sure, as I am not sure if it needs to be raised.

after playing everything at the defaults, i made one change tonight for now to one slider... the strike frequency from 0 to -1, that is, 1 notch. i already see a change from #1 Ace starters for the better.

they were getting too many first strikes in.

i dont want to set it down another level -2 yet... but if i do, it will be interesting to see how a 3 or 4th starter performs more so than the aces.
