I was using catcher and switched to wide because for some reason, the opposing pitcher will "flash" on and off for at least 1 at-bat per inning in catcher view. I switched to wide and this stopped happening.

The pitcher's uniform basically looks like it gets slightly darker than back to it's original color. It happens at least once an inning for a whole at-bat and just got too annoying.

I recorded a video of it:

It's pretty subtle in the video because it's not the best quality.

I watched that video 3 times and I didn't see anything.
Anyway, I switched to wide view yesterday and it's made my hitting much better.
As I posted in another thread I went 2 games with 0 runs and 14 hits total, all singles. I switched to wide and my next game I hit 3 homers, 2 or 3 doubles and walked 4 times.
Wide seems to give just a split second longer to read the pitch.

I couldn't see anything in the video.

But last year I only batted with Catcher.
This year I messed around with all of the cameras except pitcher, and I settled on wide.
I will see you at THE SHOW!!

I have always used outfield view for pitching and hitting, i just love the same view that you see when you watch a real ball game on tv.. makes it more of a challenge hitting that way as well.. but been doing it that way so long i just can't go with any other view.

I use offset. I seem to pick up the ball much better and read it quicker. Its also easier to tell when a ball is off the plate.

i also use offset for more of a 3D experience. will revisit wide view just to check it out.

Throw me into the 'offset' category. IMO this camera gives me a bit of the lefty vs righty, (vice/versa, etc) match-up feel.

                    Love it.

....and as mentioned before, watching a hanging slider or curve roll into your wheelhouse from this view just makes you drool.

I have used wide the most, but last night I was playing and switched to outfield and I loved it. I played a half game with the twins like this and then a full game with the yankees and it made the game feel like a broadcast. I can't wait until tonight to play some more. I am waiting for knight's rosters before I start a franchise so I will have alot of time to practice. If you have never tried it then you should for at least 2 games. I turned pitch speed all the way down and this helped. It will be weird at first, but just keeping trying it. The game looks so much better like this!

                        Re: Batting View

i just tried wide view. im a offset regular. did not like wide view, made me remember why i like offset. not just 3d view and seeing the arch of the pitch path, but the PCI is bigger, as is the baseball. camera angle is lower (more like catcher level) in offset view. in wide, it felt too high (the camera), and a low fastball that is a ball, i get tricked too easily on it.

the low pitch out of the zone is my nemesis

i swing at it all the time unless i put the controller down and walk a few feet away

any camera that helps with that bleepin pitch, I'm in

Is true in catcher view the opposing pitchers uniform lights up and then gets dark then white its like a light.. It always happens to me but doesnt really affect me
