    Re: Franchise Sim Stats

be wary of Franchise Mode - It can freeze randomly at some point in the season and will not let u advance - I am playing Season Mode and I hope it turns out OK. With sim stats - I would edit Alex rodriguez - bring hit contact for right and left to the mid - 80's and his power to the high 80's - lower his plate vision to around 72 and his stats will be more realistic. have fun and pm me if u want

You are assuming that sliders affect sim stats.

      I don't think they do.

What would affect sim stats is if you edit the Attributes of the players (like drop Mauer's Power to 0!).

chuck is correct, sliders only affect your played games, not simmed games at all.

The answer to that depends on each person. One person's great sliders for "realistic stats" will not work for another. Depends on your pitching techniques, your hitting style, your patience at the plate, your reflexes, and on and on.

Thus, I spend March of every year playing games to "test my sliders." I make adjustments as I go. My goal is to enter April with sliders and settings that will give me "realistic" results for my team.

I usually have to make sacrifices somewhere... for example, I had high strikeout numbers last year, low walk totals, but realistic HR and batting averages, so I was happy.

If you want to play a full season (like I do) and have realistic stats (like I do), there is no other way around it.... you have to put time into playing games and figuring out what sliders and difficulty levels will work FOR YOU.

I am using default sliders with my Royals franchise and they seem to work well. Of course, it is the Royals so I have a tough time winning.

Overall though, for me, the default sliders are satisfying for my franchise.
