Urgh, really hate this now. Bringing in Rivera basically gives me a loss when it should be the opposite. 3-1 up in the 9th, Pettite has pitched a gem; I bring in Rivera, he strikes out the first 2 batters easy, then I give up 3 doubles and lose the game.

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
Need some help guys. Every year I have this problem. I have a man on second and third. I hit a single and the man scores no problem. I want my guy to stop at third. For some reason he keeps coming to the plate. I have to take control of the cpu to make him go back. If I try to hit the back to the base button, the guy going home goes back to third. How do I make my runner stop at third. HELP. Sliders work great. Get about two to three homers per game. There are games I dont hit any. Love it.LA Angels

Pitching with Mo can be very tough on this game but I think realistic at the same time. He is streaky and I think if your a Yankee fan your like I am expecting the game to be over. Now Im not saying your just laying the cutter out there not expecting the CPU to hit it but you really have to work the count and get hitters to chase sometimes. Some days your better off with a Hughes or Marte but usually not. Hes still MO trust me its just not automatic and it shouldnt be.Comment

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
Hey guys. This is my first year with The Show. I have come over from playing the 2k series on xbox since 07. Anyway, I'm having some problems with these sliders. I'm using rookie for hitting cause the left stick thing kills me! LOL! My problem is, my ONLY hits seem to either be home runs or singles up the middle. I don't seem to get any doubles or hits in the gaps. Is there a slider I should adjust or just practice hitting more? Also, I had to move pitching to veteran because I was getting torched! But even on vet the cpu seems to swing at EVERYTHING. I work the plate and don't always throw strikes but I can't seem to fool anybody. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Comment

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
As a general rule, my pitching (Reds) gets beaten around with these sliders. I play with classic pitching and usually follow the catcher's pitch/location selections. No lead is safe and there is ALWAYS an inning in each game where I can get no one out.Comment

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
I want to know how everyone is liking these sliders. I'm always worried all star will be too easy for me. A few things that throw me off is erros at default and the meter pitching. Well let me know what you guys are seeingComment

Sliders aren't extreme and just tune your skill level, so anybody saying "these sliders suck" or "these sliders are so awesome" are just fooling themselves anyways.Comment

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
Such a noob here but when putting these sliders in place, do I start from 0 and move whatever places it says? (Ex. it says Reliever Stamina:6. Do I start from where its defaulted from or start from 0 then move spaces 6 up?) Thanks guys in advanceWhat's with this chick? Does she have beer flavored nipples?Comment

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
so when somebody says 7, it means 2 clicks to the right from the default position (which is 5)
I hope i didn't confuse youComment

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
Using these sliders in Season mode.....
First two games vs. White Sox: Won the first 1-0 in 10 innings. Both Carmona and Buerhle were on their game. Carmona: 9 IP, 10 SO, 0 ER, one walk, 5 hits, 105 pitches total.
Buerhle: 9 IP, 9 SO, 0 ER, 7 hits, 109 pitches total. I won it on a flare to left field scoring a run from third in the top of the tenth; Chris Perez got the save.
Game Two: I lost, 3-1. Masterson: 7 IP, 6 SO, 6 hits, two walks, 2 ER, 98 pitches thrown.
Peavy: 7 IP, 0 ER, 5 SO, 8 hits, one walk, 95 pitches thrown.
Including Spring Training, this is about the 10th and 11th games I've played w/ these sliders so far, so ample time for them to take effect.
Only thing I've done differently is change the pitching view from outfield to "wide", behind the batter. Somehow, this makes pitching for me much easier. I hate losing that broadcast feel while pitching from the outfield, but at the same time, I was tired of the CPU hitting me around the park all the time.
Pehaps CWS aren't expected to do much this year, as their hitters were not very patient at the plate. Or, like I said, simply changing pitching view made the meter and location of my pitches seem much easier. Whatever the case, I like the results so far.Last edited by Segagendude; 04-05-2010, 02:19 PM.Comment

Re: *****The 'Perfect' Slider Set***** MLB 10 - The Show
Yes, I'm pretty sure psycho does NOT use the left stick to hit... and he plays at AllStar level....
Has it been mentioned though what team used? And psycho, how many strikeouts do your batters incur typically? 8-11, 5-7?
I find that at allstar level, with your sliders, and no use of the Left Stick, in contrast to veteran level... the cpu pitchers catch alot of the southeast and southwest corners of the strike box... for nibble strikes... with a variable strikezone set as well, one can get punched out at a fair clip ( I use NYY) on pitches you cant make contact on low in the zone.
This seems to be the most noticable difference for me between veteran and allstar when it comes to balls/strikes, it's where they are... there are more 'nastystrikes'.Comment
