You make some good points triplethreat and i love this type of discussion, but what i would say is that i dont agree with point 2 & 3 because point 1, about the lack of walks, simply not true at all for me this year.

Between both teams i am averaging between 6 & 7 walks per game combined, and a lot of that is due to where i have pitching consistency slider for both sides.

That said if people (and i am not referring to you here, just a general observation) continually pound the zone and dont try and paint corners like i do then yes, you will see too few walks and a BABIP lower than desired, but no slider can ever stop said human doing that.

With that im off to bed guys, heavy day, see you tomorrow.

I have to agree with Psycho here, I moved the fielder reaction down to 8 and saw Jeter just stand there until the ball was past him then he ran after it, but it was to late, so I moved it back up to 10.

By the way, I am not seeing to many walks either cause i swing at everything still yet, my eyes aren't as good as they us to be, curveballs kill me. But I am walking about three batters per game myself, I don't give in to batters when they have the count in their favor though.

ya i left it alone at 10 too and seen a couple hits get by that would have been web gems so i think bulk might be right on. Lost a 10-8 game to the angels and beat the Orioles 8-4. HOF pitching is def challenging with these sliders. Still think overall this game is quite a bit more offensive than last year.

Psycho....As I tell you every year great sliders!

Last game was Mets Vs. Marlins... 1-1 tie going in to the top of the 9th...Marlins score the go ahead run on a Reyes error...Bottom of the 9th Wright hits a game winning 2 run double

            Nice finish!

I've been happy overall with default sliders but have enjoyed your previous versions and will give this set a go.

Loving the set Psycho, are you guys seeing home runs from cpu? Everything else seems working well, but the AI hasn't hit a home run in the 5 games I've played.

I am. I was beating TB 1-0 in the 2nd when Zobrist and Burrell hit homers off me. No doubters too.
Joyce hit one a few innings later as did Aybar.
So yeah, I'm seeing plenty. All my pitchers are going to be on the DL soon with stiff necks from turning to watch their pitches leave the park.

The CPU Reds crushed two off the Cards' staff, big time shots.

heh, funny how two people can have completely opposite experiences.

I'm having trouble keeping the CPU from cranking homeruns. Seems like 95% of my runs given up are via the long ball.

No joke, but I am currently giving up 3 or more homeruns per game

I got 2 homers through 7 games so far. None from my starters and I am the White Sox with Thome and Dye still! Should I increase the power slider? Only Kotsay and Viciedo have one each off the bench.

I'm having the same problem as well. I've hit 1 homerun over the last 15 games and it was with Maicer Izturis. It's rare for me to even hit the warning track.

edit - i don't seem to have a problem offensively otherwise. I get a good share of doubles, and singles are plentiful (my team batting average is over .300). I feel like I can score runs by stringing together 6 base hits, but i'd like to be able to hit 3-run jacks occasionally!

Hey guys made the switch last week from 2k on 360, went and bought a PS3 to play this game. I need some help as I can't hit for beans, what's the secret to hitting? Right now for me it feels like the pitcher is too close and I can't seem to judge the ball fast enough causing me to swing late a lot of times so I K at least 10 times a game, and if I do hit the ball it's always week infield ground outs. I on occasion will hit a base hit or a fly ball to the out field. any tips would be great. I tried a few other slider sets and like this one the most. I'm slowly getting used to all the control combos for pick offs and base running. also is there directional hitting in this game?

                          Thanks

Indeed it is, and proves beyond all doubt that sliders cant fix everything

As for your own power outage mate all i would preach is the age old stuff, patience, waiting for the bad pitch, let it come to you etc but you know all this already

I just moved up All Star and like the last couple of years, your slider input has enhanced the game play for me.

                              thanks PB.

haha, yea...with that said, the very last game i played i had a 3-run bomb, a solo blast opposite field that barely cleared the wall, and a 475 foot big fly.....lol, 3 homeruns right after complaining!

i'm back to loving the game

edit - i just realized i'm straying off topic, sorry...back to sliders!
