No to discuss some of my slide decisions and changes. First off is user and CPU contact and power settings. For contact, i basically did a couple games each setting beginning from 4. After a few games of adjusting this setting, i came to a consent that having this slider at 2 for both the user and CPU worked extremely well and realistically. Topple this with the foul slider for both the user and CPU and you will see that you will receive more frequent battles between you and the CPU and that you will see much more realistic counts for starting pitchers. The power setting i kind if played around with for a while and came to settle with the power setting at 2. At this setting you will see your big power threats still able to hit home runs but at a more controllable rate. Same with the rest of your team. No more will you see your number 8 hitter averaging 2 homers a game.
Now for the pitcher settings for the user and CPU. First ill start with the user pitcher settings. Many of you are looking at both settings and are probably like " WTF is this guy thinking???". Well once i explain myself you'll understand why the settings are so. The pitcher control setting at 0 is simply one of those settings that you dont know why it works, but it just does. After messing around with this slider for a long amount of time, the pitch meter seems to work it is designed to work in my honest opinion. If you are pitching with your staff ace, and you are continually hitting your release point with your pitches, its is extremely likely that those pitches are going to go where you want them to go. But if you are continually missing your spots, it will show in your overall pitcher performance. Thats not saying that you will automatically hit your spots, it just means your pitch will end in the area you set your original target to be. With that being said, that brings me into my setting, pitcher consistency. This slider pretty much validates the last point that I made in the last sentence. Your pitchers will most likely end up in the are that you attended it to. This slider i just kept playing with and I got the results that i wanted to get in terms of slider settings. Now for the CPU pitcher settings. A major issue that i noticed while playing the CPU is the fact that it seemed as if the CPU could pretty much pitch the ball wherever i0t wanted to whenever it wanted to. This became a major problem to me being that the CPU pitchers(specifically starters) didnt have realistic pitch counts and strike:ball ratios. With that being said, Im no going to into deep discussion why each one of these sliders are where its simply because that will take another paragraph to write, but know that with these settings, the CPU pitching just feels natural and very fluid.
Reliever stamina is self-explanatory relievers in this game just have way too much stamina. I have pitch speed at 0 and the batting camera to offset just so that you have time to read the pitch out of the pitchers hand and you are able to see the plate and the pitchers pitches very well while batting. Errors are at 7 just because i see more realistic results on game in terms of the amount of errors found in the game. I have arm strength at 0 so that those all-star caliber plays wont be so frequent in matches and t a more realistic pace. Fielder reaction time at 2 for again to limit those amazing all-star caliber plays. Fielder run speed at 0 so that fielders aren't as fast as Kenny Lofton while on the field. And wind at 6 just because i like the wind balance this way. And thats it. I hope you enjoy this slider set and please enjoy (Note, will be put this set up as soon as my ps3 is done downloading its update)
Note: Edits will be bold.
Edit: fielder arm strength back to default
