Does the global pitch speed slider affect the cpu hitting?

No, just, visually, how fast it's coming at you.

i disagree. i think it does have an effect on cpu hitting. i think it relates to the timing slider as well.

with a lower pitch speed the ball is moving in slower and allows more time to react. it also allows more time to time your swing. Thus allowing both you and the CPU to have a better chance at being successful at the plate.

i think both the pitch speed slider and the timing slider directly relate to how quickly you can move the batters eye with the left stick. The speed slider because the speed will determine how much time u have to react. The timing slider because the "window" you have to time the pitch is reduced or raised in the form of you being able to move the batters eye with the left stick quick enough

I agree that a lower pitch speed would make it easier for you to hit , giving you more time to react and recognise, but that's a given. I didn't think it effected the cpu though. And i never heard about it being directly tied into the timing slider either. But i'm no slider expert, by any means.

Lower pitch speed helps the user at hitting which is what you decribed. It does not affect cpu gameplay. I have lower pitch speed and blow fastballs by the cpu as if it were on 10 instead of 3.
