i can't afford a ps3 so i have to settle for the ps2 version myself. that being said, i really can't even use the word settle to describe my experience. i think the game plays beautifully. out of the box it plays much better than 09 in my opionion(better hit variety and even better realisim if that's possible) i still wanted to tweek the game a bit. on default veteran using classic pitching i thought i didn't have enough control of my pitches. i would walk about 7-8 batters a game which didn't create good situations let alone what it does to your pitcher's confidence. i use titus' veteran sliders and getting great results. great variety of games. if you look at the sliders don't be intimidated by the user pitch control and consistency. 1 and 7 respectively. it seems to work out. i average more along the mlb average 3-5 walks a game from my pitchers. also kind of afraid of the user hitting sliders, but again works great for me. i kept cpu pitch consistency at 10. seemed to keep my yankees from hitting every ball out of the park. just thought i would let you know what has worked for me. have fun and enjoy.

For more control pitching i took off pitcher confidence. Im using career mode and loving my pitching right now. As in hitting i got it jacked up. I play for Detriot and they use a DH. Put the game and graphics are nice looking and has a good feel like MLB 2K2 for the sega dreamcast.
