So you guys are playing straight Default Allstar NOTHING changed ? except maybe pitch speed .
So pitch counts are fine you get and throw walks , Reliever stamina at 5 , cpu throws strikes at 5, cpu pickoff at 5 ect . ?
Just wondering cause when I played default Allstar I had issues with alot of those , not huge but a problem over time .

I only use Classic pitching so i get and throw walks at a realistic clip.. because i use classic pitching i have experimented with what other Classic pitching guys use and get good results, and that is with Pitcher Control: 6 and Pitcher Consistency: 8.. i find the meter just to easy to pin point strikes and hit corners too easy, but that's not the case with Classic pitching... as for pick offs i used to get picked off allot, but i don't get picked off much at all anymore, cause i don't take many leads, i have found from another poster on here, that you get much better jumps and better success stealing with out taking a lead.. i have tried that many times, and i'm stealing at a much better success rate.. but that's one thing the game needs to do for 11, and that is have the computer pitcher throw over once in awhile when you don't take a lead.. i have never seen the computer try a pick off when you don't take a lead, as for pitch speed that stays at default for me, i've experimented in the past with reliever stamina at 2 that worked good.. well that's about it, i just don't want to mess with sliders and just like to keep it out of the box

I just fired up a game with your suggestions LAD me vs cubs and right off the bat I noticed why i didnt care for on Default AS .
Just way to many hits/singles for me up the middle and just out of reach of the cpu players.
Cpu took some really poor paths to the ball also stop and start by Byrd and the hit was a triple not even close Fld reaction has to go up .
The cpu also didnt take a strike in the first 3 innings ? maybe because they were behind.

Well eitherway this game is a blast TC and thanks for your suggestions .

agreed 6/8 for pitching on AS level classic is PERFECT , but FLD reaction or speed has to be raised , just to many singles .
I use auto baserunning so I find steal frequency at 10 perfect for both as speedsters are aggressive and it also helps hit n runs which I dont see at default .

Big ? classic or meter pitch ? big difference on classic with default a huge issue for me.

What level are you on with the Bat AA? amazing game huh

Hi,

you don't want to combat good hitting with raised fielder speed and reactions....you want to handle it with lower Contact (followed by Timing)

raising the pitching sliders makes it too easy also....playing with raised Control makes me pitch like Cy Young. It is not PERFECT. That's why people don't see walks, lol, and lots of singles.

Im in the 5th inning, LAD me Billingsley vs Cubs Gorzelanny and im up 5-0 with 10 hits 9 singles most up the middle but I actually robbed my first HR with manny LF up the Ivy in wrigely so it wouldnt have been gone but it was perfect really smooth .
I guess if I would play AS Default I wouldnt no what to lower pitch speed or my batting as im not really crushing the ball just tons of singles up the midddle.
Players do move pretty smooth on AS Default , I like that but I wonder if the cubs will start a comeback rally soon ?

I bought and sold the Bat 4 times just like a stock and I finally got it on ebay for $14 and will keep it what a game as I normally only play sports .

LOL with Batman. Sounds like me with College Hoops. I've probably bought and traded that thing in a good 5 times.

I bought and sold the Bat only because i made tons of money of it ! Simply the best game I ever played .

Back to the game I was pitching a no hitter w/Billingsly up 5-0 with 11 singles ( 9 right past the pitcher and I didnt have one ball hit 3/4 deep) and 1 wierd triple into the 6th inning and my pitches started going everywhere in the 7th and all of a sudden billingsly stunk with full confidence ? ,even pitches I tried throwing for clear balls went down the middle for blasts ( It was wierd i could actually see the screen as the pitch was delivered get choppy before its location was made at the plate , I think in the biz its call clipping frames )well i brought in my relievers and same stuff kept happening I guess the AI on AS is less forgiving as I have played default AS since 10 came out .

Then I actually jammed Theriot but when I went to field it by second base there was like a wall as my path to the ball was blocked to the right so it dribbled into RF .

Well the score was then tied and everything went back to normal as the score was now 5-5 and even the frame clipping stopped .
Well this is the first time I turned the game off since last year because once the 7th started it was like I wasnt even playing really exciting but more frustrating as the 7th started.

I dont mind a semi realistic challenge win or lose but not like this as it just felt cheap from a gameplay feel , know what I mean I dont mind the outcome just how its implemented at times , so maybe this will be fine tuned next year ?

I will admit this is by far the best sports game right out of the box but Veteran this stuff doesnt happen with Titus sliders and I actually know why I win or lose as I play for relaxtion and enjoyment and not frustration but thanks for suggestions I enjoyed the chat and enjoy THE BAT.

Might not be your style of play, but Ive switched to Auto Fielding/Manual Throwing with AS Default sliders. Doing so. ive eliminated shots under Arod's glove when the ball is hit hard towards him. Ive also seen some spectacular plays by my players as well that I would have never seen if I was controlling them. Worth a shot. It is definitely not as boring as you might think.

I use Assisted for fielding and that works well for me. Usually puts my guys in position to try and make a play and then I take over from there, so I feel like I have some control over whether the play is made or not.

I used it last year and yes you see some cool plays but honestly for me I love assited fielding its make me feel like part of the game , gets boring just pitching and batting.

I use Assisted for fielding and that works well for me. Usually puts my guys in position to try and make a play and then I take over from there, so I feel like I have some control over whether the play is made or not.

Same here and with FLD reaction and speed at the proper setting I have little fielding issues .

On default Allstar with assisted fielding I saw some great plays really smooth but I also saw some wierds paths to the ball by the cpu with excellent fielders and twice I was blocked from making routine plays .
