Re: CPU vs CPU
Editing the catchers will only effect the number of wild pitches so it's not absolutely essential. However you will see a lot of wild pitches (2 per game) if you don't edit the catchers. I found that many WP's annoying when watching games, with men on base you are just waiting for the wild pitch.Comment

Re: CPU vs CPU
I'm still working on a way of getting rid of too many OF assists, so far I am having a hard time getting rid of them without increasing the number of doubles to an unacceptable level, but I have been getting closer. I've been using your sliders and adjusting run speeds for the batter and fielder along with some other small tinkering. Not ready to post until I get a better sample but some aspects have improved.

Re: CPU vs CPU
I'm glad to see there's other people that enjoy CPU vs. CPU also. I have two questions... When u fast forward a game or simulate a game in season , does the game take into account your own personal settings and sliders?...And Ninjoid...are u using guess pitch off or on?...Pitching ball marker on or off ?Comment

Re: CPU vs CPU
I'm not 100% sure so I shied away from responding, but I think most gameplay related sliders won't have any effects on simmed results. I think things like stamina, injuries, and possibly pitcher hook may count starting this year's game. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.I'm glad to see there's other people that enjoy CPU vs. CPU also. I have two questions... Re: CPU vs CPU
quick question:
when you guys are simming these games, have you ever noticed a home run to center field? .... or, at the very least, seen a centerfielder get burned?
I've played 20 or so games, seen multiple homers (including opposite field shots and homers in the gap), but have yet to see one hit in dead center. I haven't even seen a ball hit over the CF's head.
In the last 5-10 games, I have actually been keeping track of home run distances, and I think the furthest ball went 397 (obviously not going to make it out of any CF ballparks). I don't ever recall seeing a ball hit over 400... but, I didn't really pay much attention until recently.
I have my wind @ 3... and have been getting a fair randomization of wind direction.Comment

Re: CPU vs CPU
I haven't been keeping track of info for each HR, but I've seen a fair amount of blasts which would easily go over the CF wall with Power at 4. I don't watch all the games so not sure of their directions, but in the game players don't have much problem hitting HRs to opposite directions, so I think they are hitting ones to CF occasionally. I've seen a couple myself.quick question:

Re: CPU vs CPU
I have pitching ball marker on and guess pitch at no feedback. All difficulty is on legend. I have all sliders at default except pitch speed and fielder reaction which are all the way up. Games are really fun to watch and tempo seems to be on par with real-life (probability wise). I have seen a fair amount of home runs out to center, average maybe 1 or 2 a game. Brewers against the Reds and the Reds were down 5-3 in the bottom of the 8th with men on 2nd and 3rd..... and then comes Joey Votto up to the plate. 3 and 1 count fastball letter high and Votto blasts one 487 feet to the smoke stacks out in center at Great American. Awesome! (He did the same exact thing to the Phils in real-life last season). I have also seen a lot of balls hit over outfielder's heads and bang off the wall. Joe Mauer just hit one over Upton and hit the warning track to deep center at the Trop.quick question:

Re: CPU vs CPU
Would these sliders be good for just simming the games?? Like in franchise mode I play my game but instead of just simming the other games I change the sliders to these and them sim the games.
Will that make all the stats come out better over the long haul?Comment

Re: CPU vs CPU
I don't think the sliders affect most aspects of the "simmed" games. They go through entirely different game engines.
Except for maybe stamina or injury related and pitcher hook sliders, I don't think sliders affect the simmed results.Comment

Re: CPU vs CPU
I've played six CPU vs. CPU games since the patch came out today and there have been no wild pitches in any of the games. Anyone else getting this?Comment

Re: CPU vs CPU
You picked the right three!
Stamina and pitcher hook added this year.
