    Show on Steroids

OK guys so the general consensus is that this years game is a little too poppy should I say. I know I have watched 3 people including myself play seasons and lead the league in HRs. I think the CPU is hitting to many deep as well. What adjustment sliderwise would be best to make reduce power or solid hits? How many clicks? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have played on HOF and All Star now and led the league on both difficulties.

Its a fine line as power also affect line drives etc..
You need to use a combination of power, contact and timing sliders along with Making good pitches(and not grooving things because you're down 3-0 in the count etc)......to get decent results.
Yes imo the game is Power friendly at the start but its certainly fixable IMO.

So what are you suggesting skybox a click or two to the left for each of those three categories? All I want to do is tone down power both Hum and CPU without affecting the game too much.

I went ahead and dropped power and solid hits -2 each for both hum and cpu and im watching my brother play right now and it seems alot better 2 Homeruns in 8 innings way too early to tell but we shall see

You can even try raising pitcher Control 2 notches.

I think with analog, it makes it too much feast or famine, whereas most mistakes you make end up being pitches left right over the plate to get mashed. With higher Control, it gives the pitchers a little bigger window with their analog movement.

Also, you can leave Power alone, but turn down Contact 2 notches. That reduces the plate coverage of the API (for User and CPU) and can result in more choppers or less than ideal contact, hence the name.

Last game I played as the Brewers against the Reds, I won 6-2. Both teams got 7 hits - 4 of my hits were homers and the CPU hit 1. So the number of hits seem okay, but likely too many homers (obviously small sample, but in most games I've played homers seem pretty common. In fact before I moved up to Legend, I hit 9 homers in 1 game on HOF. Would you suggest lowering human power 1 click or leaving power at default and lowering contact 1 click down from default? I have already lowered cpu contact and timing down 1 click from default, but have cpu power and timing at default. I've also lowered the wind slider down 2 clicks as well.

            Suggestions?

And further to my previous comment above, my concern with lowering the power slider (and to a lesser extent the solid hits slider) is that while your power hitters like A-Rod, Teixeira, and Cano will likely still be able to put up realistic homer numbers, guys like Jeter and Gardner may not be able to hit any homers because their power has been zapped. Jeter shouldn't lead the league in homers but should be able to hit 12-15 homers.

              Thoughts?

I am far from a slider guru but I know a little and I had my concerns with lowering the power and solid hits. I was worried about exactly what the above poster described the little guy losing all power. I am currently on 2 for both power and solid hits for both the user and the cpu and the game has been playing much better. I hit a 3 run homer in my last game with John Jaso to deep right in fenway and then crushed one with Longoria so while I've seen the HRs toned down Im starting to see a more normal rate which is a good thing. It's a work in progress but I think both HOF and All Star have to be toned down for both the Hum and CPU to reduce the power. Have not even messed with Legend.
