Using classic pitching I played an exhibition game against the Tigers. After the 1st inning, I was down 7-0. I gave up 4 hits with 1 being a HR.. That didn't bother much, it was all the freakin walks. Pineda was more wild then any pitcher I have ever pitched with. I would be aiming low and inside and the ball would go high and outside. It was absolutely ridiculous. I thought it might be a fluke game so I exited out and started a new game against another team. (Dodgers) Same thing happened again. Pineda was all over the place and not even coming close to where the pitch was suppose to go. Does maxing out the control sliders break something in the game?

How did this happen?
I maxed out control and consistency using TNK/Psyco's sliders.. I went into edit player and gave Pineda all 100's for control and added 10 for movement on all his pitches. I then matched Pineda's pitch clutch, BB/9, K/9, Hits, HR/9 to Felix's...

Also a maximum value for a slider does not equate "100%". Maxing control doesn't give you perfect control, just more control, difficulty level and user input still play a large part.Comment

Re: How did this happen?
I dunno bout classic pitching, but I use the meter and I put control and consistency to 0 and was painting all day. Then I maxed out control and consistency and I was pretty wild. I'm not saying those sliders are reversed, but it is definitely something to look into.Comment

Re: How did this happen?
I was just seeing what would happen if I maxed out control. Obviously not what I expected. The pitchers control got worse.. I tried it again earlier tonight and once again, there was no control. I then moved Pineada's control back down to its regular rating and everything went back to normal. Something is definitely wrong with that setting.Comment

The game is programmed for pitchers to not have pin point control at any settings, so they are actually wilder than you'd expect by maxing out the ratings and sliders. More so in the classic pitching mode since it's almost entirely ratings based.
Control ratings/sliders aren't reversed. Most control pitchers are having decent BB/9 stats in my season over a much longer run than a couple games.Comment

You cannot base your conclusions on just a couple games. That's the easiest way to fool yourself.

Re: How did this happen?
I know you probably will keep claiming the same thing. There's always been a user or two who keeps claiming the same thing about pitcher command, still lurking with duplicate accounts.
What you are seeing, that's fine... if what you see is what really is going on in front of your eyes... After all, it's your game you bought with your money. Why don't you just enjoy the wired wildness then? Just don't waste everyone's time if your intention is not to discuss things constructively.
That's my last word in this thread! Thank you.Comment
