From the correct batting perspective the most important aspect then becomes a realistic pitching strike percentage especially on the first pitch. From the best I can tell that is a strike frequency of 1 or 2 on the sliders. The MLB average is 58%. The best pitchers are above this with pitchers like Cliff Lee at nearly 70% strikes on the first pitch.
No amount of slider adjustment can make the game as realistic as it should be without these two adjustments first. Most people strikeout far to much and walk to few times in the game. I did also because I could not judge the actual pitch and had to guess not being able to dimensionally judge speed from the center of the plate. The experience was like an arrow coming straight for your eye and I could not react fast enough and if you did see any angle it was nearly impossible to judge where the pitch would land. From real life experience I know I did not have this problem. Now I strikeout about 7 times a game (sometimes much higher with 95+mph pitcher swinging at high heat) and walk no less than 2 and as much 8 so far. This is totally within the MLB average being 3.5 walks per game and between 6-7 strikeouts per game.
With the improved batter's view and can see the pitch now. I can sense the speed and judge the location unlike the completely unrealistic default view. Pitchers now throw properly a first strike % and I can get a 11 pitch walk from seeing the clear balls outside the zone and fight off close pitches.
Point is this: ADJUST BATTER VIEW to CUSTOM and BECOME THE BATTER on his SIDE of the PLATE. Now I love the game now.
