    Sliders in (in-game) simulations.

Do sliders make any difference during in-game simulations. In particular what I'm curious about is whether or not raising or lowering CPU sliders would make any difference when the game "simulates to your next appearance". I've said multiple times that I think scoring is juiced in this instance and I'm hoping that this may provide a solution to the potential problem.

I don't think sliders change simmed games (except injury/stamina/manager hook).

Inflated offense, I don't know if I see it. It would be actually quite easy to see if it happens. Just keep the scores for a couple dozen games (from box scores etc.). The runs per game per team should be around 4.5.

Not sure i agree with this. Have i seen instances where the comp puts up a 5 or 6 spot in an inning....absolutely, but it does not happen every game. Like Nomo posted above you have to give it a decent sample to even itself out. Playing a series or 2 can result in the comp scoring 40+ runs for the 6 games. You have to give it more time.
For the record i have my sliders set at all star default for all the computer hitting sliders and for my pitching sliders and thru 48 games in my season i have given up 206 runs (4.29 per game)Fast forwarding thru all human pitching.
So to me that is pretty realistic.
I don't know what your hitting but you have to remember that you should also be averaging in the 4-5 runs per game ratio and if that is the case then you should be getting good competitive games.
