decided to do a franchise with the Royals for fun. Heres game 2 box score.

I do get the feel of more home runs being hit their, but less base hits in the gaps and so forth. I do feel the park plays pretty realistic to normal. After I got the hitting down I do feel the players play very similar to real life. Votto even started out really slow to start the season, but then came around. I bat Phillips number 1 and Cozart number 2. I also put Stubbs down in the 8 hole which is great when it comes to him reaching 1st w/1 out or less & the pitcher slot up. I can normally get him to 2nd than SAC bunt. Heisey I have play against RHP & he is mashing. Ludwick platoons against LHP. Latos isn't having that great of a season, but Leake is on fire which is sort of unusual. The Reds do strike out in real life quite often so that's not unusual. Outside of Phillips & Votto the rest of the team don't take a lot of pitches. I also have probems at times with runners in scoring position which is funny considering the team had that issue in the season & playoffs. Other than that I do feel the sliders play pretty well to realistic stats for the actual team.

Can't speak for TNK, but I have a hunch that once that Dodger-Red Sox deal went down & Gonzales, Crawford & Beckett went way... SO did TNK's desire to finish his season ;-)

You are correct......the Red Sox sucking also had a role in my losing interest.

I ended up getting into my Patriots chise on madden and then picked up NBA2K13 and am loving my franchise with the Celtics (Haven't played NBA since like 2009) and I'm about 70 games into the season. NBA2K13 is a very good game!!!

I'll be ready to go when MLB 13 The Show comes out and of course I will be making sliders again.

I look forward to reconnecting with you guys when the game comes out.

PS - I know a couple people who are employed with NHL teams, one is a former player and now a scout and I'm told that they have been told to be ready to return to work in the next week or so. THE LOCKOUT IS ENDING

Just wanted to say your sliders are great. I just got a ps3 after playing the 2k series forever. I decided to jump right into your sliders and I will admit I have had the game a week and last night I got my first win!!! Lol. It was a great game too.

I got down 3 runs in the first, then my pitcher settled down and I picked away at the three runs playing small ball. It stayed tied till the 8th when my pitch count had finally made me Bring in a reliever. Bam 2nd pitch 2 run shot.... I was so bummed because I knew it was a fat chance to come back wih my hitting struggles. Lo and behold bottom of the eighth I get a few on base and blast my first homer and it was a three run shot! Kimbrel closed it down and I got a win.

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

My only complaint, and its really starting to irritate me, is the pitchers control is all over the damn place. I dont know if I suck or the sliders are compansating so much for the CPU to make them good but when I have an ace on the hill and Im trying to throw inside off the plate and the thing ends up outside off the plate it gets a little old after awhile. Currently playing the sorry *** Padres and am down 4-0 because apparently anything remotely close to the plate is a hit and not just a hit but its hit hard as hell as well.

I, like many in this forum, am having major hitting problems, mostly strikeouts and a very rare walk. I saw a picture of your customized catcher's view, but have no idea how to customize the view. Please help.
                    Thanks, DocHelm

[COLOR=Black]Yes, within those 8 strikeouts, I may have chased 2 or 3 bad pitches. Fine, I take responsibility for that, but the majority of the time, the CPU is throwing pitches that are right on the edge of the strike zone that need to be swung at, but I just can't hit it. I would expect this from the ace's (Halladay, Kershaw, King Felix), and even that's a stretch, but getting this from 4 and 5 starters is just ruining my experience.

I, and 55 others apparently feel exactly the same as you do, about the CU pitchers pounding the zone. I am in slider hell, and SO 14 times a game, BB almost never, and leave any base runner stranded, Have you had any success with MLB 12?

Look at post #1 of the thread.....there is a picture of the Camera View....all I can tell you is load up the two teams and play at that stadium,.....start with CATCHER CLASSIC and zoom out, tilt, raise until you can match up certain points on the screen like batters head, score bar at the top, pick something on a building in the outfield, batters box, etc.
                        Try the above

I would suggest dropping difficulty down to Veteran on areas you are having issues until you reach the post season, then bump the sliders to All Star. Timing and patience is key to The Show. Pulse pitching can move the ball in or out for every pitcher, so you have to learn what to expect if you pulse small or big and play a safe starting point. Just a suggestion, good luck!
