Let me know how they work out for ya, i'm still seeing extremely realistic results in my franchise.Comment

Re: Simulation Veteran Sliders
Sounds like you're enjoying them. Are you playing with the strike zone and guess pitch off? That change has made me a much better hitter and working the pitchers more. When i used guess pitch i was always off balance and looking for the fastball. turning off guess pitch and strike zone was the best change i've made so far.
And yes I am trying very very hard to get to that .500 mark. Its tough, but i'm gonna keep at it.
I made the switch after experimenting with it in a couple of recent games. I am the pirates in my franchise and I felt like i was dominating games too often. It was unrealistic for the Pirates. playing on All-Star has made pitching tougher, giving up a few more hits and getting into trouble more often (more realistic IMO) On veteran i could make a bum look like a cy young winner.
I will change these back to what i had them as and make another set for all-star. sorry
I also may change the pitching to pulse. experimenting with it now.Comment

Re: Simulation Veteran Sliders
i'm drawing anywhere from 1-3 walks a game and from what i've seen thats more than a lot of other slider settings are getting. you can try turning strike frequency and control down 1 click a piece. let me know if thats any betterComment

SUMMARY
So you can see the game was pretty even even though they didn't exactly get a run off Hughes but let me point out it was raining at Yankee Stadium so I am sure the rain played a roll in this game especially with the CPU errors, as you see the CPU had 3 errors during this game.
I got to Santana early this game as you can see but he held strong striking me out 9 times in the 5 innings he pitched. On the other hand they did have their chances as they had 8 hits and left runners on the corners a few times this games but Hughes was able to get out of it. They even had bases loaded in the 3rd inning.
It was pretty much as realistic as a normal baseball game which was good. If anything I got to pay attention though to see if the CPU can score because I feel the Angles should have maybe had at least 1 possibly two runs in at minimum but we will see as I continue.PSN ID: MikeyBoy02NY02

Re: Simulation Veteran Sliders
I saw your CPU pitching tweaks in another thread and im using them with much success and satisfaction with the other slider set around them.
I am a pulse pitcher/zone hitter but I might give your other tweaks a shot as well.
It seems like the good slider sets really dont vary that much from one another, a testament to how good this game is out of the box, so I definitely like seeing which values certain slider makers agree on and disagree on and how they add up to make the game better."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Summary
This was a pitching duel and it was fun! Marquis was on fire early on and was pitching a no hitter all the way until the bottom of the 7th inning where Cano broke the ice with a solo HR to finally get myself on the board and tie the game!
Nova was just as solid but giving up a few more hits. I was thinking of taking Nova out in the 8th but at this point it was tied 1-1 and he showed no signs yet of extreme fatigue with his zoning so I left him in while Robertson was warming up just in case this game was going into extra innings.
They took out Marquis in the 9th and brought in Burton which got through A-Rod and Cano and at this point I thought "I should be getting ready for extra innings"...........Granderson walks up to the plate in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and the game tied at 1. The first pitch was way outside and then Burton decided to have balls and drop a sinker down in the strike zone and BAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! HOMER!!!!!!!!!! Re: Simulation Veteran Sliders
The only thing I may chance right now is CPU pitching Consistency and bump it up to 4 maybe 5 and leave the control at 4 because I find pitchers to be very accurate when it is set on 4 like you have. They don't throw strike after strike on 4, they pitch around until really needing to throw a strike which is very realisticPSN ID: MikeyBoy02NY02
