    HOF Slider feedback/discussion??

Hey guys, I'm hoping to get some slider feedback from those of youplaying HOF. I am using timing hitting and meter pitching. I also use auto fielding and auto baserunning.

I have played several exhibition games and have started seasons with the Yankees and the D'Backs.

So far I have only made these slider adjustments:

    pitch speed - 3 (default 5 - I'm 48 years old, enough said)
    reliever stamina - 2
    fielder run speed - 4
    human timing - 6

The rest are at default and so far I'm getting great, realistic results. I beat TB 6-5 in the Yankees first game (Mariano gave up 2 in the 9th to cause some stress). The D'Backs lost to the Giants 8-4 and are winning the second game 2-0 thanks to a Montero 2-run homer.

I would like some input from those of you playing HOF to see what slider adjustments you have made (ex. strike freq, command, conrol, errors, etc.) It plays so damn good out of the box I doubt that there needs to be too many adjustments. Thanks in advance for your input/suggestions and advice.

    Re: HOF Slider feedback/discussion??

After a few more games of my season on HOF (timing and meter) I am going with the following slider adjustments for the foreseeable future - hopefully I am done with adjustments as I developed a BAD case of slideritis last year

    all default (5) except:

    human timing - 6
    reliever stamina - 2
human pitching consistency - 6 (control is at default)
cpu pitching consistency - 4 (control is at 5)
    strike frequency - 4
    pitch speed - 3
    fielder run speed - 3
    fielder arm strength - 4
    fielding errors - 7
    throwing errors - 6
    injury - 3

I would appreciate your feedback/advice/input on these sliders to see if these are similar to what others are using. Thanks in advance

I'm playing on Hall of Fame with pitching but I'm not getting many strikeouts. I think the most I've had so far in a game is 4. Are you guys getting many strikeouts on HOF? Did you change any sliders?

I am playing with the sliders I posted above and am having the same issue. Otherwise I am getting realistic results. The game I just played was with the D'backs and using their ace Kennedy - who the announcers say is a strikeout pitcher. I only managed to strike out the cpu (the Giants who are ranked 17th in hitting) 2 times. I played on HOF last year and struck out the cpu probably an average of 7 times/game. But last year I had both the human and cpu contact at 4, so maybe I will try that if the issue continues.

Good too see this thread, too bad theres not a lot of discussion going around. I play on HoF pitching as well. I have everything on default and I'm seeng a good amount of strikeouts and walks. I play as the Twins and with Liriano I usually see at least 6 Ks a game, other pitchers usually strikeout around 3-4 but thats because they all have really low K/9s. Hitting wise I seem to struggle early then my bats come alive later. Fielding is pretty unrealistic for the AI so I'll have to use your edits.

            Re: HOF Slider feedback/discussion??

After playing a few more games, here is the slider set that I will be using to start my season once the openning day rosters are released. There may be a bit of tinkering with certain sliders, but hopefully not, as I'm trying to avoid slider hell this year. Skyboxer just posted his HOF slider set and mine are pretty close so I know I'm on the right track. I am going with:

HOF - timing hitting/meter pitching. Auto fielding and baserunning.

All sliders at default (5) except:

human contact - 4 (compensate for increasing power)
human power - 6 (wasn't seeing too many homers)
human timing - 6 (compensating for lowering contact)
human foul freq - 6 (helping me to draw walks by extending at bats)
reliver stamina (both human and cpu) - 2
human pitch control - 6 (trying to strike out the cpu a bit more often and reduce hits a bit)
human pitch consistency - 6 (try to hit my spots a bit better)
cpu contact - 4 (I like to keep my cpu sliders for hitting the same as human's exc. timing and ff)
cpu pitch control -4 (to draw a few more walks and meatballs)
cpu power - 6 (wasn't seeing very many homers)
strike frequency - 3 (same as above - had it at 3 last year and was fine)
pitch speed - 3 (user pref)
fielding errors - 7 (not seeing too many errors, might move to 8 or 9)
throwing errors - 6 (same as last year)
fielder run speed - 3 (just too fast otherwise, maybe add a few more xbh)
fielder arm strength - 3 (just too strong at default)
            injuries - 3 (personal pref)

I had contact at 4 last year but power at 5 and was seeing almost too many homers. This year I have hardly seen any homers so am going to boost power up a bit to see what the effect is. If there are too many homers than I will bounce it back to 5.

I am expecting to get great results and a lot of enjoyment with these sliders. I have sworn that I will use these sliders for the next 10 games before I consider making tweaks if needed. I would appreciate any discussion/feedback/input/advice you may have. Thanks.

              Re: HOF Slider feedback/discussion??

Im getting rocked on HOF level I am 4-14 out the gate in April. I started with Legend default hitting and HOF pitching. I now have the CPU hitting sliders all reduced one click and I dropped my hitting level to HOF as well I did this about 9 games in. I have had great games but just keep losing. The Rays schedule just for my rant of a bad April went like this... Yanks for 3, Tigers for 3, Red Sox for 4, Jays for 3, Twins for 3, and Angels for 3. Talk about brutal Im hopin to salvage the last game of a 3 games set with Pujols and company. I really think AL sliders should be easier than NL cuz the AL lineups with the shift of Fielder and Pujols are so tough. Thoughts......
