What Sliders do I need to change?

(I'm using veteran for both hitting/pitching, using timing hitting and pulse pitching)
I've played many games and have taken the averages of every game. Based on all of this, what sliders do you think I need to adjust?

Here are the averages for each side after all the games I've played

    (AI)
    4.5 runs
    10 hits
    Struck out 8 times
    24.14 fouls
    15.5 fly balls
    19.33 groundballs
    67.8 strike%

    (USER)
    2 runs
    5.67 hits
    Struck out 4.67 times
    14.17 fouls
    13.17 fly balls
    14.83 groundballs
    80.33 strike%

The 2011 MLB averages for some of these categories:
    4.28 runs
    8.7 hits
    7.1 strikeouts
    14.8 fly balls
    12.7 groundballs
    63.2 strike%

AI runs seems to be good, but their hits average seems abit high.
    AI strikeouts seems fine.
The amount of fouls they get is alot though.
The amount of flyballs is alright, but BOTH teams need lower groundball numbers.

I obviously need to get more hits and runs.

the fouls look fine for the cpu IF you threw around 125 pitches.
the league average is 20% of pitches thrown for fouls

obviously ur strike percentage is high, so alter your pitcher control slider.

Anyone else have suggestions for the rest of the sliders?

        everything else looks fine.
you are worried bout your hitting?
maybe it s asmall sample size?
        what team are you using?
        Pirates? Yankees?

Up your contact or power, lower AI fielding speed so you can get more hits/hits in the gaps.

How does everything else look fine?

The Groundball-Flyball ratio isn't where it should be(there should be more fly balls than groundballs).

And wouldn't adjusting fielder speed impact me as well? Cause if my guys are slower, it'll be even easier for the AI to get their doubles.

well do you want everything EXACTLY matching up? it wont happen, thats why its called an 'average'.

there are people out there complaining they see too many fly balls and not enough grounders.

yes it would be easier for them to get doubles.
lower the AI's power or contact. or whichever the one is that affects extra base hits, i forgot which it was.

Re: What Sliders do I need to change?

My latest game with adjusted sliders:
              (AI) Angels
              5 runs
              12 hits
              7 ks
              26 fouls
              14 fly balls
              20 groundballs
              66 strike%

              (USER) Red Sox
              3 runs
              10 hits
              1 K
              14 fouls
              13 fly balls
              21 groundballs
              81 strike%

Still with the groundball-flyball ratio real bad.

Like I said before, the amount of runs the AI gets really doesn't bother me as much, it's really the amount of ground balls. Cause the groundballs include the groundballs up the middle or ones past the 2B or SS. So instead of quick liners to the OF(regardless if its a hit or out), it'll be so many groundballs which result in singles that advance runners 2 bases.

I have CPU solid hits set to 6,CPU contact/power/timing set to 4
Human pitching control/consistency is at 4(and im still hitting 80% strikes)
Human solid hits/power/timing is set to 5
Human contact is set to 6

You runs seem a bit low. Perhaps bump up your hits/timing a little.

Re: What Sliders do I need to change?

If you're not upset with the AI runs and offensive production, I'm not sure why the groundball/flyout ratio should be a big issue.

From my experience it's not the kind of thing that is easily fixed by sliders (and it could potentially skew other things if attempted).
For me it's something that comes down to Pitcher, pitch type and location.
I.e. - A fastball up in the zone will most likely be a flyball if it results in an out.....a changeup low more often than not results in a grounder.

Re: What Sliders do I need to change?

Obtaining a more realistic fly ball grounder ratio would knock down on the silly "back to the pitcher" problem. Or at least I think it's problem. In fact, it's prolly the frustrating part of the game for me. Grounders to the pitcher happen far to frequently.

lol, abit too late to be answering my thread. I got my slider set out with much better averages.
