    Striking out the CPU.

I have a bit of an issue with striking out the CPU and I'm hoping someone can help.

On All-Star it seems that it is too easy for me to strike out the CPU, however, on Hall of Fame I'm luck to get 3 or 4 strike outs against the CPU per game. I'd honestly like to put the pitching on All-Star but I don't want to win every game and keep the CPU to 1 or no runs every game.

For those playing on default All-Star how are your runs against? Does the CPU sometimes put up big games? I want to lose games 8-0, 10-4, etc. from time-to-time.

    Re: Striking out the CPU.

This is a good subject because I am in the testing mode, as you are.

I play on All Star and always have. I use "Classic" pitching and have given up a few big scoring games to the CPU, partly because I get myself in trouble by nibbling too much on dangerous hitters. I walk a guy or two and boom, abig inning erupts.

However, for the most part, my games are low scoring and there aren't the big 7-10 run explosions I would like to see.

I'm going to test with mediocre pitchers against the Rangers and see what happens.

I'm still in testing mode too (using Pulse on Default AS), but so far, I have to agree with the above statement. I've given up 5-6 runs a few times, but the CPU (again, so far) seems to take themselves out of rallies a little more than I'd like.

But don't fret Gagnon, my games are incredibly fun. I just MAY have to drop control and/or consistency a click (not sure whether I want more meatballs or more wildness just yet).

I may end up not doing anything because when the CPU does rally, they rally HARD. I've given up 3+ run individual innings multiple times so far. Which is fantastic! I'd just like for it to happen a tad more frequently. And it may, I just need to play more before committing to any changes to see how things shake out.

well remember that this year more than ever is all about the "abilities" and "ratings" on the players...i use Classic pitching on AllStar (always have) with a few slider fixes and i must say that the CPU is really Spitting on my curveballs and changeups on the dirt more often, but i still get good strikeouts and also get clubbed more often if i miss my locations...

I'm also walking batters like CRAZY!
