New to Forum. Longtime baseball and Tigers fan. Only my second year with The Show. I appreciate the realism improvement by tweaking with your slider suggestions. Realism is the most important aspect for me and is actually the main reason I bought the PS3 (just to play The Show).

Anyway, I'm not sure if this is the right place to discuss, but you having mentioned it, I will ask here. The question I have is on Guess Pitch. I turn the feedback OFF so I don't know if I'm right on the pitch until after I swing, but still see an added benefit of having guessed correctly (or the negative if I'm wrong). It seems this is a realistic adaptation of real life players sitting on a certain pitch. Do you feel even that benefit is too much? I actually don't use it that much, but would appreciate other people opinions on it. Thanks.

      Hi Joe, and welcome

With feedback off it is indeed more realistic as you dont know if youve guessed right or wrong, but if you are right you still get a contact/power bonus, which obviously doesnt happen in real life.

Anyway, like i said, its definately an each to his own thing is Guess Pitch.

I hope you enjoy the sliders, i think after only what was it, two lots of tweaks, im done for the season, its playing that well now

Loving these Psycho, playing great games, drawing walks fine etc.

One thing I've noticed since latest version is I havent hit a Homer in a few games now. Its probably just a slump after starting season so well so not sure if its since change or not.

Anyway Im not changing a thing as having a blast with these. 17-13 in my Dodgers chise. Kershaw really is great to use!

Definately no power outage with these mate, ive hit 5 HR in my first two franchise games, Fielder with 4 of them and 3 in the last game alone lol, but i know this wont last, Austin Jackson with t'other.

Keep us updated on your Dodgers progress.

Just hit one to dead center at Petco with Eathier!

Won the game 5-0 with 7 hits to 6.

Im 4th in the league hitting at .268 with your very own Tigers leaing with 286.

Im also 4th in ERA at 2.91. Leading are the Phillies with 2.39.

Morse an Fielder are leading the league with 14 HR's each.

Honestly mate cant reccomend these sliders enough. At first I was a bit apprehensive about HOF but it plays so realistic.

            Great job

PB...to increase offense but keep everything else the same in terms of hit variety et, do you think increase contact, solid hits or turn down to all star?

Solid hits by +1 at a time. If you ind your self striking out too much or not putting the ball in play, leave everything else the same and bump timing by +1 at a time.

not having trouble putting the ball in play, just almost always It's a soft fly ball...if I hit it hard at all It's a grounder swallowed up by the d! might try solids at 5 and see what happens for a few games!

Also, be sure your hitting is set to TIMING and not any of the zones or pure analog.

Would I need to make any changes if I use classic pitching instead of pulse?

In my Twins franchise I have the same exact record the Twins have in real life using these amazing sliders... Talk about realism. Very nice job.

I use classic pitching and I did find the need to bump up human pitcher consistency to 5. I was seeing pitches miss their spots to often with it at 4.

First impressions of solid hits at 5...lasers! On 4 I couldn't hit anything but choppers and pop ups, now I've hit 6 frozen ropes and a home run in 8 innings including one down to the Crawford boxes in minute maid where I got thrown out by 10yards going for the double! Will stick with it though because I am at least getting hits!

Does anybody use analog hitting with these Sliders? I dropped down to All Star with analog hitting and was raking the ball with the Mets. I chased Lincecum after 3 innings. I might have to up it back to HoF but I need a bigger sample size first.
                                PS3, we had a good run! (7/18/09-10/5/14)
