    Solid hit slider offset

I'm wanting to decrease my human solid hit slider, but don't want to decrease my team batting average. What is the best way to accomplish this without changing other stats? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Re: Solid hit slider offset

By how many clicks are you decreasing it? Just one probably wouldn't affect things too much unless you really try hard looking.

During my 20 game test (hitting only), lowering 1 click resulted in way too many weak dribblers off of the bat for me, while raising contact 1 made hitting too easy. I'm considering a 2:1 ratio but haven't tested it yet. I'm an extremely defensive batter and almost always use a contact swing with 2 strikes. I believe this is why I see so many weak dribblers and popups. If I don't do this, I strike out 10+ times a game.

If you are producing too many weak hits, why do you want to decrease Solid Hit then?

I had to increase my solid to hit in the .260 range and would like to lower it to see more hit variety.

            Re: Solid hit slider offset

I think it would be difficult to make suggestions without what exactly your tendency is, which slider settings and difficulty level you are at, etc.

Contact is a very influential slider (affecting hit quality, timing, discipline, etc.), whereas Solid Hit basically only adjusts the amount of line drives (i.e., solid hits), so it's much less influential.

I think it's more about what's in your approach that makes you see less variety of hits. Is your timing always off? Are you always hitting with X-2 counts and forced to use contact swing?

I feel it's more useful to take that route... because everyone plays differently.
