Solid hit slider offset

During my 20 game test (hitting only), lowering 1 click resulted in way too many weak dribblers off of the bat for me, while raising contact 1 made hitting too easy. I'm considering a 2:1 ratio but haven't tested it yet. I'm an extremely defensive batter and almost always use a contact swing with 2 strikes. I believe this is why I see so many weak dribblers and popups. If I don't do this, I strike out 10+ times a game.Comment

Re: Solid hit slider offset
I think it would be difficult to make suggestions without what exactly your tendency is, which slider settings and difficulty level you are at, etc.
Contact is a very influential slider (affecting hit quality, timing, discipline, etc.), whereas Solid Hit basically only adjusts the amount of line drives (i.e., solid hits), so it's much less influential.
I think it's more about what's in your approach that makes you see less variety of hits. Is your timing always off? Are you always hitting with X-2 counts and forced to use contact swing?
I feel it's more useful to take that route... because everyone plays differently.Comment
