As a bit of criticism off the bat, I find that using the umpire zones adds a leve of realism back into the game. If I know it's going to be a pitch on the corner and I know it's going to be a ball, it's no fun because I'll just take it. Having the ump be a douche and call it actually makes me laugh and alter my tactics. Consequently, using API alters their tactics as well.
Yeah, I would agree, but it seems to me that the borderline calls go to the CPU most of the time.

Interesting sliders, one quick question, why do you have Fielding and Throwing errors at 0?

Errors still happen with the sliders at zero. I'm in the second week of the season and A. Beltre a gold glove third baseman has 5 errors and none have been my fault. The CPU decides when an error will happen. I play with auto fielding and manual throwing. Maybe I should go with manual fielding? I've seen a fielder drop a fly ball and many errors for the CPU and myself.

Oh, I actually turn the fielding meter off, not a fan of it, too easy on rookie/veteran and tricky on all-star, when the meter is off, the throws are actually based on fielder's ratings/abilities, feels more realistic in my opinion.

I use assist fielding and manual throws by the way.

that is what I use and myy bad fielders are getting errors and my great ones are perfect. I have even seen ichrio miss play a fly ball. he didn't drop it. he under ran it and had to reach up and missed it.

I just started a fantasy draft league with these sliders and omg.... great first game had a blown save and walk off double in the tenth to win it. 8 to 7. the next game I destroyed them 12 to 1. I was hitting every thing. I even got 12 strike outs with U. jimenez. he even pitched 8 2/3 to tired to get the complete game had to pull him after giving up a couple walks and a hit which led to their only run.

Tested your sliders by playing as the Phillies against the Cubs, had a close, exciting game. Pitching as Halladay, I had only allowed a solo HR to Soriano in the 2nd and 4 hits going into the 5th until the CPU strings a few cheap hits on me, a weak grounder pass a second baseman, a walk, a liner over third baseman's head and an error on my LF, then things kind of went south from there. Stutes then came in and kept me in the ballgame.

Hitting wise, it was quite interesting, the 2 triples were a bit on the lucky side, both coming off the outfielders missing a dive on liners. Walk rate was decent, I even managed a 6 pitch walk with Halladay. But overall, I couldn't get anything going, bunch of scattered hits here and there, leaving runners on base. That was until the 9th, down 2-5 where I had the back to back triples plus a sac fly, to put me back at 4-5. I unfortunately had a groundout and a flyout to end the game.

Re: "CRMS Sliders" Timing/Vet/All-Star Fun! Realistic! Variety!

Played a few more games with your sliders and I realized that you should increase the Manager Hook slider up somewhat. It's normal when I'm leading by a lot of runs, but in close games, not so much. The CPU managers were pulling a Grady Little in nearly every close game leaving his starter out there to dry.

I also noticed that the energy bar of the pitcher seems to have little to no effect as there was an instance where the opposing pitcher had ran out of energy in the 7th(97 pitches) and still proceeded to stay on the mound for 1 1/3 more innings. Another time was when I was down 2-9, the opposing pitcher's line was like 8 innings, 11 hits, 2 runs, 3 walks with 102 pitches and the manager left him in as if he wanted him to pitch a complete game or something, not turning to his bullpen for a new pitcher to come in for mop up.

I play most of my games in exhibition, perhaps the CPU Managers' strategies might be different in franchise mode?

what do you think we should put the manager hook at. I checked all the other sliders and they have them all at 5. and I was wondering about the stamina if we should raise it also cause the starters are done at 100 pitches but most starters should be tired not done with energy what do you think about raising that up to say about 2 for both player and cpu?

once again I love these sliders they are great for me. I really like working with you to make the perfect for us timing hitters.

Now going through these stats for the first week the thing that jumps out at me is amount of doubles and tripes, if might be just cause I am doing a fantasty draft and it is screwing up cause of all the fast players one one team but I thought I would share them with you and see if you are seeing the same thing or not. I hope its just me, cause all I am doing is killing time until Knights rosters come out next week.

I'm still tweaking human contact and power.
Still tweaking base runner speed and manager hook.
Stater stamina is also under review.
My goal is to get the best sliders possible by the time OSFM comes out.
Thanks to those who are contributing ideas and tweaks to these sliders.

I have been struggling to do anything with this game on any level from Rookie to All-Star on default or with slider sets from the vault. I might as well give yours a whirl... cause if they don't work i am a hopeless case!!!!

I just updated the sliders.
Changes are in red.
I've played with or against every team.
I've played 70 plus games and the game play feels right.
Teams like the Rangers and Yankees are easier to get runs and hits than the Cubs or Astros.

I'm uploading my final adjustment.
Feel free to download the update and adjust as you please.

I really like these, 3 years with this game, and I think these work the best with my style (not the greatest hitter, decent at pitching/def) I did increase the pitch speed to 2 which I do with all slider sets, that's my sweet spot on this game.

I've had solid hit variety and great games, works well with the Vita as well.

This game plays really well on default sliders in season mode. I see a lot more variety in hits and fielding animations and ball physics etc... The sliders I had before were based on playing on a 19 inch screen. I now have a 32 inch screen. I never thought the screen, game mode thing mattered, but it does. Default sliders aren't very good for play now mode, but they work beautifully in season mode. With my old sliders the pitch speed was way to slow on a bigger screen. The game mode on my new TV makes a huge difference. The game is just really smooth on default in season mode. Anyways have fun, I hope you all have found a set that works for you and with your TV.

I agree, default is awesome. It's tough to decide whether to go with tweaks or default this year.
