    Zeroing Out Fielder Run Speed?

Just noticed vashyron mention this in another thread, as well as a few others backing up the theory, but how many of you have tried a 0 fielder run speed?

Any drawbacks after extensive playtime at that settings.

I myself am looking for a remedy for the speedy fielders without sacrificing realism. I don't want 16 hits a game because too many balls are now getting in where they should be caught.
I noticed 3 with some rare instances of 2 being used in the slider threads but this intrigues me.

I just came to post this same question. I've seen some have it 0'd but I'm hesitant. But I've had balls hit in the gap off the wall that go for singles. And I'm still gunning people out from hard hit balls into right field at first base.

I have been testing fielder speed at 3 for a while now and I am probably going to try 2 now. I still am finding a lot of balls in the gaps getting run down now

1 drawback is the animation that goes with it when you go too low.
The one where they look like they are running in quick sand for the first few steps.
If you don't mind seeing that then i don't see any reason not to go lower because as i mentioned in another thread i think that Outfielders reaction and closing speed is overblown this year.

Agreed. I have mine at 2 and don't see too many quicksand animations. I hate that. I wouldn't go lower than 2. I also have reaction at 2 and arm strength at 4 and baserunner speed at 5. Getting plenty of doubles, and 2 triples in 3 games.

Have you guys also tried turning off The Throw Meter? Slows down the animation to last year levels.
