can any one explain the difference in difficulty level?

just a quick question. can any one explain what the main differences are when using rookie, veteran, and all star?

obviously rookie is easy, veteran is medium, and all star is hard, but what exactly makes each difficulty easier/harder than the last? what are the main details?

The AI is smarter. Smarter pitcher AI means more complex strategies (ie changing speeds effectively), more varied locations (ie: high breaking balls and low fastballs, instead of just vice-versa). Smarter batter AI means they will recognize the stuff I just said, an be fooled less frequently.

I think the hitting difficulties also reduce your contact as you go up. Imagine Rookie having the Contact slider on 10, Veteran on 8, All-Star on 6, etc... Your PCI will shrink and your overall hitting ability will decrease - most notably, you will strike out a lot more as you go up in difficulties (assuming your skill level never changes of course). It's not by magic though, you swing at the same pitch, with the same timing, on every difficulty and you will see the difference, as your timing window changes slightly also.

I also think pitching difficulties affect the hitter's contact in a similar way (Legend pitching = the CPU's contact on 10, or whatever...), but again it's only a guess.

wondering about this too, seems confusing. if im hitting (too) well for example on rookie with default sliders. what should i do, adjust the sliders accordingly (lower human contact, power,...) or move up the difficulty level to veteran?

You should change difficulty level before messing with sliders. Think difficulty levels as the major ticks, sliders as minor ticks of a ruler.
