Analog hitter question
Ive tried the button hitting and i just hate it so i was wondering if there are anyone out there that bats with the analog and what sliders do you use. I only need your batter sliders i like my other sliders. My main problem is hitting homers it seems using the analog has a power outage thats frustrating. Any help would be very helpful <!-- / message --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig -->Tags: None -
Re: Analog hitter question
With Analog, you need to commit to pitches a bit earlier than you would with button based hitting interfaces. For starter, you may want to lower Stride Difficulty slider all the way to the left. That should make stride timing count less in producing solid hits. -
Re: Analog hitter question
Ok ill try that. Do you know if i should leave the other slider alone or will that stride difficulty do the job by itself?Comment

Re: Analog hitter question
I'd start trying one by one, rather than changing a bunch of things. I think analog *might* be a bit harder than the button since the triggering of swing is a tiny bit slower, and also the stride timing factors in. Basically my suggestion is to start with making the stride timing counts less.Comment

Re: Analog hitter question
Personally I don't think you need a different set of sliders for analog interface. You should be able to play realistically with a set that's made for button hitting. It's just that analog introduces another variable in stride timing, but that's about it...Comment

Re: Analog hitter question
Well slider people are one of the bitterest people you find on Earth, so I wouldn't endorse one over other, not to mention I make one myself, so it's not appropriate to do so.
But perhaps... if you are Pure Analog hitter, you might find a Timing-based slider set to be a better option, since you don't have the full control over PCI. If you use Zone Analog, then maybe Zone-based set, since you have full PCI control.Comment

Re: Analog hitter question
Doesn't Jgainsey use Analog? If his sliders are posted here I'd definitey use his. He sees analog sticks in his dreams. And me I have no problem endorsing anything I feel deserves endorsement. As a New Yorker, tact isn't really something I am familiar with.Comment

Re: Analog hitter question
Lol..
The sad thing is I do actually daydream about MLB The Show at bats on a regular basis. Among other things...
I haven't posted any sliders this year, and that's really because the only tweak I've had to make(for batting) was to the stride difficulty slider. It is extremely subtle, so don't be afraid to knock it down to zero if you're unhappy with your stride timing.
Here is what I'v been going with this year..

Re: Analog hitter question
I agree with Nomo, you dont need a different set of sliders for Analog. I use Zone-Analog and use authentic/I's slider set, which was tested and designed with Timing hitting and my numbers are great. I love the feel of striding and crushing a hanging breaker into the gap. It's just the best.
I still do use Timing (RTTS with the Real Life Cam/Second Franchise) but I prefer using the sticks as well.Brewers | Golden Eagles | Packers | Bucks | Badgers | Fulham FC
