Re: Any Sliders for more hits and less hr?
i kind of have this problem but feel its getting better.
firstly what team do u use as if its someone like yankees, boston, texas etc u will get home runs quite a bit.
I use TNK sliders and are really good, but i have timing down to 5 instead of 6, i also have power down to 4 instead of 5, and thinking of moving contact from 6 to 5 on his sliders (all star difficulty) but apart from that his sliders are good and tell me what u reckon
plus i use zone batting and meter pitching -

You mean decrease? You decreased the slider all the way? Try lowering the Contact slider 1 point also. It affects offense quite a bit. Only 1 point though. Anything more and you wont be able to put balls into the outfield at a realistic rate, and/or your strikeouts will spike.Comment

Re: Any Sliders for more hits and less hr?
I was actually having the exact same problem as the OP.
I play on Hall of Fame, but I had this problem on All Star too... I play on Zone hitting.
I messed with the sliders.... it's a small sample size but so far I've hit 0 home runs in 5 games with Power at 1, Solid Hits at 3. I like how it played too. You had to use power swing to hit for power, and you really got a feel for the risk/reward of it all. I also got like 4 doubles/triples (I always lump them together mentally... I just know I got 4 hits in which I made it to at least 2nd base).
I just upped it (Power) to 2 before the game I'm playing now... 2 home runs in this one game. Granted it's in Philly, and only one game, but yeah...
So I guess my answer to someone else would be to put Power at 1, and Solid Hits at 2.
Although where you put the Solid Hits slider depends on where you have your other defensive sliders, like Fielder Speed. I have mine at 0, so more hits naturally happen throughout the course of the game. If you have yours higher, or at default even, I'd say to put Solid Hits at around 4.
Also realize I play on Hall of Fame. You might want to try lowering the Contact slider to 4 on All-Star... or maybe you won't need to.
I still need to play around with this stuff myself... so sorry if my post is not very definitive.Comment
