    throwing errors slider

I play on All Star level analog throwing. I hardly make any poor throws and neither does the CPU. i have the throwing error slider at default. What i was wondering - if i raise that slider, will it affect me and the cpu equally? Or am i exempt from that slider because I manually control my throws with the analog?

Trying to decide the solution, of either going up a difficulty, raising the slider, or both.

It will still affect you, although comparing your increase to the CPU can only be done by you, since I don't know how accurate you are with the analog stick.
Increasing the slider will decrease the amount of leeway you have with the precision of your analog stick movements. What might have been considered "accurate to second base" with the slider at 5, is now a slightly off-target throw, that may or may not induce an error.

If you play with the throwing meter on, you have a fair amount of control over avoiding errors by minimizing the strength on all your throws, but you are still prone to occasional errors no matter what, and thus, the slider will increase the frequency of these completely random errors. It will also decrease the amount of leeway you have with high-effort throws.

With the throwing slider increased, more high-effort throws will be off-target, leading to more errors

Be careful though... the slider also effects your accuracy on pickoff throws, meaning a lot more will end up in the stands. This is the main reason I've decided to just leave mine at default, since the missed pickoffs drive me insane.

        Re: throwing errors slider

If you want more errors you can also try the fielding errors slider. This isn't the only reason of course, but part of the reason there aren't many throwing errors, is that the 1st baseman is capable of consistently making outstanding plays to save an error... diving (with his foot on the bag), jumping, reaching, backflipping, etc... Increasing the fielding error slider makes these types of saves harder, so in the end you get slightly more throwing errors also.

            Fielding Errors - 6
            Throwing Errors - 6

...This works best for realistic stats in my opinion. I believe Authentic has his at this as well. I have the throw meter OFF though, so user input (how long I hold the analog, or what direction) doesn't affect the throw and it's all stats and sliders. If you have the meter on then you may want to deviate from my suggestion. Also with the meter OFF you cannot change the difficulty as it doesn't matter.
