This is definitely an issue that I'm seeing and I think it's a result of the fielder speed being at 2. It seems like the fielders are wayyyyyyy too slow getting to the ball.

Pretty good start for such a short time after release. In the few games I've played so far I have felt that there aren't quiiiiite enough dribblers and bloop singles n such. Most of the hits are hard hit screamers. Will take some more testing for me to really get a feel if that's the norm though.

Other than that though, everything is feeling great. Pitching at times can feel a bit wild. I've had trouble locating my curveballs and sliders a bit every game until i get the pitch confidence way up (using pulse pitching btw) but it helps keep the ball/strike ratio in line for me.

Anyone else seeing a large number of home runs by the CPU?

Not trying to give you a hard time but...how do you define a "large number"? And over how many games?

If you tell me how to hit, I will tell you how to not give up homeruns? (just kidding) Only complaint is that I don't ever see them hit them. I played about 7 games (all top 10 rankings) and only given up 3. Two were in my first game which I was still trying to learn how to pitch under a different style. The other was a 3-2 fastball basically down the middle to josh hamilton (still trying to figure out why it is so hard to hit your spot in pitching when it said it did everything right and was trying to hit the inside corner but he threw it down the middle). Other than that no one has gotten even a whiff of a homerun. The only runs I ever score is a homerun it seems. I the most I ever scored in a game so far is 4 runs. Usually just around 1. Then again maybe my problem is I am always going against #1 while I always changing up my starting pitcher.

Maybe it IS a Strike Frequency issue. I might try 4, 3, 1 and see how that works out. Call me obsessive, but this is a game killer for me. If tweaking the strike frequency slider doesn't fix this, it's something that desperately needs to be patched. I'm tired of seeing nothing but 0-2 and 1-2 counts....
not having this issue - i walked 7 times one game

I'm averaging 3-4 a game over six games. I know it's a small sample size which is why I wanted to see if anyone else was seeing the same thing.

I've been giving up a good bit of them too but I've mostly attributed it to pitching mistakes. I think the thing is, when the computer makes a mistake I don't capitalize on it all that well at the plate while the computer seems to be able to crush any mistake I make. But again this is basically user error for me.

If you are playing exhibition games, when you get to the pitcher screen, if you move the controller to the CPU team, you can pick which pitcher starts for them. Just found that out late last year, whihc was nice not always playing against the #1's all the time.

Oh I know. I just want to see how crappy I am when I am at plate. I always been super good at pitching. Batting I can usually draw walks and play a lot of small ball, but with these sliders I am just pedestrian. Just finished a game playing against the Nats (really wanted to see how I did against Strasburg, again which is why I been playing top 10 teams against their #1 guy), but I feel if I can get close wins or even a win against a #1 (i am like 2-6 with these sliders now) is good. I know when I play against #4 or #5 guys I should put up more hits and runs, but as of now #1's are very good and the ump definitely doesn't like me when I pitch, but allows any part of the ball to be a strike if it hits any part of the zone.

My second win with these sliders, and it came at the best pitching game to date. Should of had a perfect game actually. Their only hit was between third and short and I though I could of got it with Cozart, but it started out with Frazier so I ran the wrong way. I guess after the two errors they wanted me to be safe with Frazier. It was the first game I didn't walk a batter as well. I did come close on three occasions but worked out of it. Both errors for me were just balls thrown in the dirt and Votto couldn't pick it up. Strasburg just killed me basically. I always late on his fastball it seemed (except for the homerun I hit) and his off-speed couldn't get good swings on as he had 7 K's through the first three innings.

The only head scratching, and I don't think these are with the sliders, but the AI gets like 90 percent of the time called strikes when the ball is at least 75% out of the strike zone. I would say at least half of my strikeouts this game were that. I know that with the unpredictable ump calling for the strikes is fine (really like it that way), but I seem to never even get those calls. Most of the time even when I am like 75% in the zone they call it a ball (thank god sometimes they will chase pitches or I would walk like at least 8 batters a game).

I know someone mention fielding being too slow. The only time I see that happening is when they line one down the line and it seems the fielder you have to run back, if it is a hard hit, cause there is little to no chance to stop it if you just run toward it. I only messed up on like three pitches the whole game (only seems like I can do that with Cueto), but luckily they would be on the edge of the box instead of usually just a high meat pitch for them.

Still waiting to get over 10 hits a game, again might be cause I am always playing against #1 pitchers, but despite the only two wins in like eight games now, I am still enjoying it. Always seems to be a battle.

Last thing I might ask other people is how is everyone's stamina for your pitcher. I usually can get to the seventh with my starter, but usually he is dead tired at that time. I don't think I am doing crazy hard throws every time, but was just curious about anyone else. Maybe I am just throwing much of my pitches with more force than is needed too.

Used these sliders all last year for my franchise. I appreciate your hard work. Been waiting for these. Thanks.

I put the timing up by 1 and I ended up with a 11 8 game!, don't know if it was a fluke or just a one off, Im guessing that games are just so random its the way it should be

Loving these sliders. I have had very close realistic games and a variety of scores. Plus I haven't always came out on top so that makes it more fun. Great work and can't wait to see the improvements.
