If the latest updates continue to get positive feedback and I don't feel any other tweaks are necessary. I will take this out of testing phase and call this Version 1.0 of the sliders which will be uploaded to the Slider Vault in the next day or two.

Let me know what you guys think of the latest tweaks.....and don't forget to rate the thread and rate the sliders in the vault once they are posted

    Thanks guys

Great sliders as usual. Could you just try this for 5 games but put fielding arms at 7 and tell me what you think? I thought 2 weeks ago when first starting playing this years game at 5 was to weak of throws they all look like there being lobbed. There are no rainbow throws using 6 or 7 I kn ow it seems a little high but can some of oyu at least jsut try it for a few games and let mek now if anyone thinks it more realsitic than any of these lower numbers ive been seeing?

I also like 3 for outfielder speed, i mean TNK sliders are the one i like more and are my style but 2 OFf speed is great going after the balls hit in the outfield but once a ball gets passed if and when they do it seem it takes the of forever to recover the ball. 3 works best for both.

Oh yeah base running speed at 5 with 7 arm strength works great I think.

This is just my observations of about 20 games played using all kinds of scenarios and sliders to this point. I finished up a series tonight Brewers vs Rockies using the current sliders and it was what i was looking for as far as game play goes, I use classic pitching and these work great. Anyways would love to hear what others think after they try using what I mentioned above.

just a question about running speed.

Why wouldn't base running speed and fielder speed be the same since there the same players doing both.

is there real world data that says a player can run faster on grass than between the bases over the same distance.

my knowledge of baseball is very limited so just wondering.

I am not making changes to the set at this point because someone just says "hey - try this"

The changes you are suggesting are too drastic from where I have them and I don't see these areas as needing a major overhaul

This is a video game.......no real world data. It's the eye test and feel for doing these sliders every year that gets these where these need to be

              I don't know - they probably should but I don't have a vita so can't tell you

Is there a way to make the CPU swing less? I can get my starters into the 8th or 9th inning almost every game. The CPU isn't making me work. They swing at bad pitches when they're up in the count, swing one the first or second pitch often. I would like to have to work my bullpen more to make it more realistic to me. I might just be throwing too many strikes or pitching too well? What are your thoughts tnk?

Throwing too many strikes......not enough balls being thrown on purpose.

That's the difference.....lowering the CPU STRIKE FREQUENCY SLIDER makes them throw more balls off the plate. It's hard not to do it but the HUMAN player always has a tendency to try and throw on the corners every pitch unless it's a waste pitch situation.

The only other thing you can do is lower your own control

I am finally able to string hits together and have rallys with the contact 7 power 4 slider change! Too many of my runs were homers and now its occasional homer and lots of hits. After several games it really shows. Great job!! Your all better than me if your using all star hitting. I have to stay at veteran for hitting to get anything done.

Interesting update. I feel like i'm already seeing a lot of close plays at second as it is. Case and point BJ Upton getting thrown out at second in Houston on a ball that made it to the wall in left center. But, I've loved these sliders from the get go and trust in TNK! I'll give an update if I see anything out of the ordinary. Thanks again for your effort, your sliders bring this game to a whole new level.

Just played a game with the new sliders. Ironically 4 of my five runs were from homeruns (none with power swings as well). The other run was on a wild pitch, with the final homerun as a walkoff in the tenth. It was a crazy finish as they had 2 homeruns. Apparently my starter they scouted his 2-seam fast ball. 7 hits that he gave up 6 of them were from his 2-seam fastball (with the two HR's). They had 13 hits in the game to my 7, had four walks though (5 if you want to count the HBP).

Seemed to get more contact, but just couldn't find any play. Still like the sliders, and the wind was blowing out at the Reds ballpark by like 13 MPH so maybe that is why most of runs were from HR's. Did tally 14 total K's in the game while they had 11. Most were from their relief pitches as the starter only had 3 (and was their second best pitcher too).

Will play another game here to see if I can hit better, at at least getting hits and see if it is just my stadium (usually when I play at home crush the ball a lot which is true in real life).

Just played my first game with the newest set and had a blast. I was KC vs. Seattle and I won 2-1. I was unsure about using the meter as I never really had, but got the hang of it after a few innnings. My starter Wade Davis had 3 walks and only 5 hits. Seattle only had 1 hit after the third inning. I brought in my closer in the 9th and got two quick outs. Then I had an easy grounder only to have the throw pull of my first baseman for an error. The next batter came up and hit a single into center. I struck out the following batter on a beautiful curveball to end the game and hold on.

The only thing was a lack of power for me. 9 out of my 10 hits were singles and the cpu had all 6 hits for only singles. But I will definitely play more. Definitely sticking with these. Used analog hitting btw. Can't grasp the zone hitting yet even with quite a few batting practices. All in all fun though.

For my second game I played as the Phillies vs. the Padres. So I found my power in this game. 5 doubles and a 399 ft. bomb by Chase Utley. 10 hits in total. SD had 5 hits including a triple and a two-run homer by Grandal. I struck out 10 in 7 innnings with Hamels and ended up winning 4-2. I am enjoying the variety these sliders bring. I may end up moving the hitting difficulty to all-star though. I have never been a powerhouse from the plate, but this year it seems a little easier.

I am curious to hear how users of these sliders are handling the supposed first pitch "meatball bug." Are you stepping out at the start of each at bat or just playing through it?

I'm stepping out about 75% of the time.....sometimes I forget
