Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS

Just had a really good game with version 1.0.Got crushed, but was still a good game. I had a lot of hits, just had a hard time driving them in.

Im still getting hits, 10+ hits, 1 run. Im taking a lot of called strikes on the corners. Im using the Cubs so not scoring does make sense.

Are these sliders your final version or you are still working on them, TNKNGM?

Things are working well right now - may have a slight adjustment here and there but for now you should be good to use these for franchise

Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS

I lowered pitch speed to 7 in the interim. With the patch, the cpu is painting corners like Greg Maddux. In order to see these pitches better I lowered pitch speed. 9 games, post patch, shut out 2 times, 1 run 5 times, and 2 runs 2 times. Somehow, I won 3 of those games.

Once I get better ill go up to 8 pitch speed. Had way too many swinging strikes or when I try to take, perfect pitches on the black most times for a called 3rd strike.

Should CPU strike frequency come up a little post-patch? No more meat balls.

Nope - walk numbers and strike/ball ratio is still very good.....especially if you are laying off bad pitches

Couldn't agree more. This year's version+these sliders=the way I have always dreamed a baseball game could be!

I just had a good game with Strasberg for my fantasy team...he pitched 7 innings walked two and struck out 15! I won the game 3-1. They chased everything! Should i move up to HOF pitching wise?

NO!!! Don't do anything based on 1 game

Play 10 games and if you mow them down every game - maybe make a slight slider adjustment.

Tweak certain sliders 1 click and play more before you start jumping difficulties

                            Hello, a question about HR's.

I am using your sliders again (used them last year) but I am getting A LOT of homeruns from a team that I feel is not really a powerhouse ( cle). I lowered both cpu and human power to 3. Is there other categories that should/need to be adjusted?

Btw, thanks for your work on these sliders.

                              TNK - EXHIBITION GAME

BOSTON RED SOX @ Baltimore Orioles

Pitching Matchup - Ryan Dempster vs. Chris Tillman

                              * Although both Dempster and Tillman were having control issues, the game was scoreless through 4 innings 0-0

                              * Boston opened the scoring in the top of the 5th as Gomes walked to start the inning. Tillman got Saltalamacchia and Iglesias to pick up 2 key outs. Jacoby Ellsbury came up and just missed a HR as he hammered an RBI double off the wall in RF to score Gomes and make it 1-0.

                              * Dempster held the Orioles to 0 runs on just 2 hits through his first 6 innings of work on the mound despite issuing 4 walks. The game would go to the 7th with the Red Sox up 1-0.

                              * Orioles reliever Luis Ayala gave up back to back singles to Iglesias and Ellsbury before walking Victorino all with 1 out in the top of the 7th to load the bases. Darren O'Day came in to face Pedroia and he grounded to Machado at 3rd for a potential inning ending double play but Vicotrino took out Roberts at 2nd base to break up the double play and Iglesias would score on the play to make it 2-0.

                              * Ryan Dempster pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 7th making it 7 straight Orioles hitters that he has set down as he was at exactly 100 pitches thrown in the ballgame.

                              * O'Day retired the Red Sox in order in the top of the 8th to keep it close at 2-0.

                              * Dempster would take a 2 hit shutout into the 8th inning. Brian Roberts crushed a ball towards the gap to lead off the inning but Ellsbury made a great running catch on the warning track for the 1st out. Nate McLouth would fly out after a grueling 9 pitch at bat for the 2nd out. Dempster was out of gas after throwing 114 pitches and he would leave the game as John Farrell brought in Andrew Bailey to face Nick Markakis looking for the final out. Markakis and Bailey had a good battle as Markakis fouled off a few tough pitches with 2 strikes before Bailey finally got him swinging at a back door cutter to end the inning and send the game to the 9th with Boston leading 2-0

                              * Boston closer Joel Hanrahan came on for the top of the 9th looking to close it out with a 2-0 lead. Adam Jones went down singing on a 97 mph fastball for the 1st out. Matt Wieters singled to bring the tying run to the plate with 1 out. Chris Davis was up next and Hanrahan gassed it up to 98 mph as Davis chased a high fastball for the 2nd out as Baltimore was down to their final out. JJ Hardy came up and hit a hard groundball to 1st base that skipped by Napoli and he was charged with an error to put the tying run on base as the Orioles had men on 1st & 2nd with 2 outs. Alexi Casilla came on to run for Wieters at 2nd and Wilson Betemit came on as a pinch hitter for Manny Machado (Not sure I would have made that move). Hanrahan was able to bear down as he hit 99 mph with a fastball and then got Betemit swinging on a filthy slider to end it as the Red Sox win a fantastic game on the road 2-0.

                              * Ryan Dempster was the story of the game as he pitched 7.2 innings of shutout ball on 2 hits with 7 Ks and 4 walks.

The sliders are right where we want them guys

I am using your sliders again (used them last year) but I am getting A LOT of homeruns from a team that I feel is not really a powerhouse ( cle). I lowered both cpu and human power to 3. Is there other categories that should/need to be adjusted?

Btw, thanks for your work on these sliders.
                                Are you using ZONE HITTING?

I would only reduce power......then try reducing contact.....never go more than 1 click at a time and play a bunch of games
