Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS

Will be picking up a psn card to DL the show later on today (taking advantage of the whole spend 50 get 10 back on PSN by going digital for the show) and can't wait to get back to using your sliders tnk. They were so good last year and they were the keystone for me finishing an entire 2 seasons (played every game) of my Braves franchise last year.

Hoping I can complete the feat (and more) this year Looks as if you've got a good start already.

I think finally these are the sliders I want, the way the CPU pitches to many first strikes was driving me crazy!

this time I had 4 walks in the game, however the pitcher hit me 2 times and threw 3 wild pitches. Got to try and get the right balance where there is more walks but the CPU isn't crazy as hell with control. so I've been fiddling around more maybe the whole thing is pot luck

Here is my first game at Coors Field:

I'm very concerned about the extra base hits. Especially about the 7! triples. I mean thats way too many. Coors Field is a big ballpark, but thats just ridiculous.

Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS

These sliders/settings are working very well for me in my RTTS. I restarted my career after using the 12,000 preorder points because my overall was a 77 right off the bat. It was way too easy. Now I restarted it and after 3 series I'm batting .345 with 2 homeruns 12 RBI's. These sliders make the game very realistic, I've never enjoyed playing this game more.

How has everyone's experience been with advancing base runners with these sliders? Both for the human and the CPU?

I know there is the issue of slow down when runners round third and it's making it very difficult to score from second base. With default sliders I have experienced significant issues in terms of realistic base runner advancement.

Was wondering of these sliders alleviate the issue or if anyone has noticed. Thanks!

I applied these sliders to my game yesterday. Started a season with the Astros because I REFUSE to start a franchise with my Tribe until the OSFM roster comes out. Anyway I was leading 2-0 vs Texas, then got got down 4-3 but hit back to back jacks in the 8th to go up 5-4 and saved the 9th for the win. Good back and forth action all game. Good job TNK.

I don't use zone hitting or meter pitching.

I use analog pitching/hitting instead, so would these sliders still be ok or what?

Re: TNK - 2013 REALISM SLIDERS

Been playing all morning, and wanted to report some more impressions.

                          - I really like the Fielder Reaction being at 7. It seems like infielders are reacting as they should now.

                          - So far, Pitch Speed at 8 has given the most comparable experience to '12, which is definitely a good thing. I'm finally starting to see the swing variety that I'm used to seeing (early, good, perfect, late, etc.).

                          - I'm super obsessed with strike percentage, and while 4, 3, 3 (CPU Control, Consistency, Strike Frequency) worked perfectly for '12, it's not working nearly as well for '13, IMHO. I've played three games so far this morning, with the first two using 4, 3, 3, and the CPU first pitch strike percentage was 75% and 77%, respectively. What's really interesting is the CPU's OVERALL strike percentage ends up playing out pretty realistically over the course of an entire game (usually in the low to mid 60%). To me, that would seem that this issue is not strike frequency. It all comes down to first strike percentage, which should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 58%. I know this is a video game, and we won't get it perfectly, but I'd be happy with a first pitch strike percentage at least in the low to mid 60% range at this point. First pitch strike percentage creates this chain reaction of events. It affects pitch counts (obviously), which in turn affects pitcher fatigue and/or confidence, which will in turn affect HUM hit/run totals. The third game I played I moved Pitcher Control (accuracy) down to three, and didn't really see that much of a difference. First pitch strike percentage was still in the mid 70% range.

So, right now, I'm observing my girlfriend (don't ask me how this happened) playing a game using Pitch Control at 2!!! I will post results after a couple of games.

                          TNK, any thoughts on this???

I put cpu strike frequency -1 due to the lack of pitches out of the strike zone being thrown.

Do you think that user starter stamina should be increased by 1 or so? My pitchers seem to be getting tired well before around 100 pitches. Usually between 65-80 pitches I get the tired message
