Best value for pitch speed slider
Just wondering what everyone else is putting their pitch speed slider on. So far I'm liking it pretty good 2 notches above default, what about you?Tags: None -
Re: Best value for pitch speed slider
I get good value for pitch speed slider on one notch above default, 6.
Do a lot of batting cage sessions and my results are quitte good, so i stick for a while on this value. -
Re: Best value for pitch speed slider
This is what I use. Default is way too slow, but in my (limited) playing time, 6 is sufficient.Comment

Re: Best value for pitch speed slider
I find 7 to be good.
BTW - has anyone noticed that the ball travels to the plate and then there is this moment of hesitation right before it arrives at the plate? I'll swing at a pitch with what appears to be perfect time but the feedback system says I'm early. Kind of frustrating.BOBTRAIN

Re: Best value for pitch speed slider
Practicing on HoF in the cages on default speed, I am finding that I am early on nearly every pitch, even ones that I think I am perfect with.
I'm guessing they have slowed the pitch speed down slightly this year??
Will probably end up with a pitch speed of 6 or 7.Comment

Re: Best value for pitch speed slider
To those new to the show.....there is no RIGHT setting as it has no impact other than how fast the pitch gets to you when batting. So, tweak this until your timing is consistently good. If you early on everything, move it to the right and if you are late on everything, move it to the left.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

7 was still a tad slow. Pitch speed at 8 seems to replicate same timing as pitch speed of 5 from MLB 12.BOBTRAIN

Re: Best value for pitch speed slider
10 is really where you're going to see realistic pitch speeds. The nice thing is, if it's too fast, it won't effect the game at all. You can adjust this slider and not hurt the slider set. My set is set at 10, but it won't make a difference besides how well you can time up pitches.Comment

Re: Best value for pitch speed slider
Don't know about anybody else, but even with Pitch Speed at 7, I'm still ahead on most pitches. I very rarely square up anything with "good timing". Instead, I'm either early or just early. And the weirdest part is, when I think I'm late on a fastball, I end up having good timing. Very odd. I'm considering either raising Pitch Speed up to 8, or raising timing.
Any thoughts?Comment
