Anyways, my question has to deal with fielder running speed. Has anyone tried it at 3? I've seen 2 sure fire doubles cutoff by OF's who could not do it in real life. Plus Josh Hamilton appears to have as much range as Trout/Bourjos.
Personally I play with fielder speed at zero and reaction at 3. Outfielders are too fast and the field itself is way too small. I think reaction at 3 is perfect, you can still smash a line drive past the 1st and 3rd baseman but any lower and they let WAY too many balls get past them.

Just started using these sliders because zone plus was getting a bit hard and I wanted a bit less stress when I was hitting lol. Anyways they are GREAT! I'm getting realistic amounts of hits, doubles, home runs (not many since I'm an Astros franchise), and I'm actually leading the league in walks

I was having way too hard a time pitching however (again astros pitchers) so I had to move to veteran. There I use these sliders and I've been better while maintaining realistic results.

      Human control: 2
      Human consistency: 5
      CPU contact: 4
      CPU power: 6
      CPU timing: 5
      CPU solid hits: 3
      I literally love Jose Altuve.

It usually means there has been a recent tweak to that slider. Slider creators constantly test these and also get feedback from other gamers to make slight tweaks as needed.

So, in this example, would you set the slider at 3 or 4?

            Human Reliever Stamina - 3 (+1)

              You'd set it at 3

The +1 means it went to 3 from 2.

6 games in and I figured out the hitting. Maybe too much. I'm hitting .319 with 12-2B and 12-HR. The cpu throws a ton of balls to get behind in the count which makes hitting pretty easy. My last game for example, Y. Darvish gave up 6 ER in 4+ innings and had over 110 pitches when he left the game.

I'm thinking this is more a cpu pitching issue rather than a hum batting issue. Which slider would you suggest bumping up? Control, Consistency, or Strike Freq?

I did make some minor tweaks to fielding. Speed at 3, reaction at 5, and arm strength at 4. At 3 for arm strength I noticed a lot of slow guys were legging out infield hits. At 4, that issue seems to go away.

Really liking these sliders, I always used timed hitting but I am realy glad I read this thread which made me decide to try classic pitching, I finally feel pitching is realistic

Your hot. Your only 6 games in. Give it a couple of dozen games....things will change over th grind of a 162 game season.

Okay Armor. I just finished the month of April in my Braves franchise in which I played every single game. If you could, take a look at some of my stats and see if you think I should adjust anything or let it be.

Also, if your interested in any extra stats or information then let me know and I'll be glad to post.

In the month of April I went 19-7.

An update on these sliders. So I finally started my Kansas City Royals franchise. Started the season 8-1 with a 8 game win streak after losing the opening game. Feeling maybe these sliders a bit too easy, in comes Toronto to Kaufmann Stadium, and sweep me. The key to this slider set is sample size. Make sure the sample size is around 30-50 games before making harsh judgments about them either way.

I have used these sliders(hybrid) since I started my A's season. I have played every game and I am 42-21 no allstar trades etc. I am using the current A's roster, expect for Aubrey Huff who I picked up. I doubt that makes that big a difference

I am now going to switch to the allstar hitting, I believe its about time. I got the best record in MLB so I can lose a few while adjusting to allstar. Is it just the hitting that is harder or allstar or does the cpu also pitch better

I feel that the pitch speed is a little faster and the timing window is a little smaller. However I do know for sure that the CPU will throw more balls. On Veteran you get more meat pitches than you will on All-Star also. Which makes hitting more difficult.

Pitching AI is smarter on All-Star and you will get more weakly hit balls and your timing window closes more.

The All-Star set is great. The Hybrid set is just a way to have less stress hitting. You will still lose, strike out etc, but you will hit the ball harder more consistently and you can still draw walks.

It really comes down to personal preference.
