So I was hitting .323 with the Angels thru 15 games and scoring about 7+ runs a game. Then my PS3 crashed and I had to start a new franchise but I chose the Rockies. I made the following adjustments and feel like these are perfect for anyone having a little too much success hitting.

CPU Pitch Control-5 (+1)
CPU Pitch Consistency-5 (+1)
Fielder Run Speed-3 (-1)
Fielder Reaction-5 (+1)
Fielder Arm Strength-4 (+1)

I will warn you that you need to have plate discipline to draw walks but when you get a double-digit run game you'll feel like you earned it.

So I'm using the Padres for my franchise, I'm 13-32 in my season. Pretty frustrating. I was up against the Cards and Wainwright struck me out 14 times. Then there was one game where I was playing Baltimore and was up 6-0. I throw in Huston Street in the 9th. Guy costs me 6 runs and then I end up losing in extra innings. I was so pissed! I do enjoy hitting on Broadcast view. I find it more realistic and can get a good sense of where the ball goes. Just losing hope in my season since I'm way at the bottom in Power Rankings. I don't want to play on Veteran Hitting cause I feel its too easy or better yet not much of a challenge.

This is a perfect example of how to tweak to your skill level. Glad your enjoying the game!

I am nearing the June draft in my Yankees Franchise. Pretty pumped to get some new blood into the farm system.

Yeah I'm 16 games in and really digging the sliders. I have gotten into a bit of strikeout rutt as I have 40 in the last 4 games (before that I was top 5 for least amount). Still scoring runs but hits have been up and down.

Anyone else getting tennis elbow from playing so much? LOL, I've had to turn the controller upside down and bat with my left hand.

Well at least you're better than the Marlins. Haha, sorry.

Where are you finding the most difficulty in hitting? I know right now I can't hit the Change to save my life. I'm always early. I've found I have the most success when I take the first pitch. 65-70% it's a strike but for some reason I seem more focused after taking the first pitch. Plus if I miss a pitch out of the zone it seems to jack up my whole at bat and I usually start swinging at crap.

Actually I just realized you said you were hitting with Broadcast view. The slider set calls for Default catcher. I've never used BC view but it seems like it would be really difficult to read pitches. Not so much location but type of pitch. Might want to try changing the view.

Just wanted to let you know I recently upgraded to MLB 13 after many months of '12. I decided to plug in your sliders and all your settings and I am absolutely loving this game. It's a whole new experience for me playing classic pitching and broadcast views.

I got a little too comfortable with kris medlen in my most recent braves franchise game. Pitching a gem into the 6th, I lazily threw a 4 seamer up and in to Ryan Howard and the ball is still traveling over downtown Atlanta. There sliders reward you if you play smart and punish if you don't. MLB is an amazing game. Your sliders make it even better.

The only thing I'm fighting is user pitch control at 4 or 5. 5 seems slightly too accurate but 4 seems too random. I wish there was a 4.5. I'm going to play through my rotation a few times at 5 then same at 4 and see what I come up with.

If anyone has any input on this from experience, please chime in.

I'd keep control at 4. You'll see things improve (and better learn how much pressure to apply to the X button and where to aim pitches) after you play more games.

Hello....just signed up,1st time poster here ! started my first ever franchise using Armor's all-star sliders. Pitching is not a problem,but hitting is quite difficult...the sliders are great...upped my human contact and timing to 6...do u think upping solid hits to 5 is way too high,from 4 ? again,im not a great hitter to begin with...i average like 4 hits a game...curious if anyone has solid hits at 5 ? and your results ? thanx in advance !!

Where do you guys rank in pitching? In terms of strikeouts, ERA, base on balls, etc. using these sliders?

I'm using the Astros so take that for what it's worth:

26th in ERA (4.22)
1st in BB (I pound the zone more often then not)
26th in K's (499)

That's after 83 games played, playing every game.

Everything else for me is 26th and lower aside from HR given up. I'm also using the Astros like I said. I also haven't played the show consistently in about 3-4 years so the first month was a little rough.

I don't think upping solid hits will help you. I would try lowering pitch speed until you get your timing down, especially if its showing you are late a lot. Take 1st pitch to try and get ahead in the count. That helped me a lot. The game simulates baseball very well. If you're ahead in the count, you will get pitches to hit. Just my .02.

I'm curious about this too. I love the sliders but not a huge fan of pitching with just a button

I do not play with metered pitching. These are not meter pitching sliders.
