Dude......I dont see first pitch strikes all the time. So don't know what your talking about.

I get plenty of balls thrown on the first pitch.

      Bug? What bug?

I don't see a problem with first pitch strikes. My most recent game had 42 first pitches with 64% of them being strikes. I typically try not to swing at too many first pitches. Also my strike % overall for me and the computer have been good, ranging from 60-75.

After thinking about how I've had quite a few recent low scoring games, I break out with 8 runs and 16 hits with the Rays. Orioles had 7 runs and 11 hits. That was an awesome back and forth game and probably one of my favorites so far with The Show 13!

Just wanted to drop in and say thank you for these great sliders. In the beginning I felt guilty for using auto fielding and classic pitching but now I can't see myself playing any other way. It just makes the game feel right and play so well.

I started my season with these sliders and I'm 33 games in playing every game and the variety of games has just been amazing. There are games were everything just goes right and others where I'm frustrated because I can't generate anything but that's the beauty of baseball.

So again thank you for the set and showing me the way to an amazing time with this game.

Playing on the All-Star set. I have 18 HR's through the first 5 games of my Blue Jays franchise. While hitting those bombs has been fun, I may need to look at lowering the power slider a click just because the lineup is so deep.

By the way, Bonifacio has 2 of the HR's.

Wait it out man. Things balance out over the long run.

In the first couple of weeks of my LAD franchise I hit a ton of HR and had a sub-2.0 ERA. I had two guys on pace to hit 40 HR.

Then, after another 20 games or so, I could see things start to even out. Two of the big power guys slowed down, so much so that one is now on pace to hit 20 rather than 40 and the other is having a career year in which he will hit 35 or so.

Batting averages and ERA both work the same way. I'd just say to let the sample size increase.

If you get to the ASB and you have 5 players on pace for 40 HR, then yes, you may need to adjust, but tearing the cover off the ball for a couple of weeks is completely normal imo.

You do have a great lineup for power.

I think it took me a month to hit 18 HR's with the Mets last season, so yeah, using the Blue Jays has been a big change.

Holy cow! I would sim my series vs. a team like TOR so as to avoid the frustration of getting jacked all day long.

Pretty much everyone on their team can hit 20 it seems like, and some of those guys don't just hit the ball hard; they tear the cover off of it.

Have you seen a difference in batting average? I'd imagine the Mets weren't that great in that department either, but I'd suspect that the Jays would be a bit lower than average in BA.

I'll be interested to hear how far this team goes in the division and toward the playoffs.

But to the sliders, I've had weeks where I was putting up 8-12 runs and weeks where I'm lucky to put up 3. That's what makes it great.

I wish A&S made sliders for NCAA and Madden, lol.

I started off the season hot also but my hitters have since cooled off. I was thinking the same thing you were but left it alone for a bit and it seemed to work out.

Gonna keep at it and get a bigger sample size but so far Im really destroying teams, just beat the Mets 11-1 with the Dodgers and am not sitting at 16-3 through 19 games. Im 3rd in batting average, not hitting a ton of HR's which is perfectly fine but Im just hitting period. Pitching wise I havent figured out how to get more strikeouts as Im down in the bottom 2/3 of the league but at the same time the CPU just doesnt seem like a threat either as my staff is sitting with a 1.97 ERA, but like I said Im gonna keep at it. Thanks for the sliders though guys, still enjoying them.

Anyone know if these are realistic for manager mode? I played a game with them on that mode and the pitchers were walking more than they struck out (just one game, I know). Also, does anyone know if SCEA fixed the AI not throwing home with the infield in?

Kind of funny how this game works, I just finished up my first season with the Mariners, played every game. Kyle Seager won the batting title at a clip of .364, I traded for Dexter Fowler early on in the season and he finished at .253. I am convinced that you really have to mix up your lineup to find the most productive order. For most of the year, I batted Seager fifth and when I tried moving him to the three hole to get some more RBI opportunities, he sucked. These sliders are awesome!!

Are you using the Hybrid Veteran hitting sliders or the All Star hitting sliders?

I was raking using the Veteran set and switched to the All Star set, and now I really have to work on offense.

I am striking out way too much right now. Part of it is me being fooled by low breaking balls, but I don't think i'm that bad at the game to be striking out this much, especially when I am playing as the Giants, a team that rarely strikes out. Should I just tough it out and learn how to not swing at those nasty curves and changeups in the dirt, adjust my current sliders, or switch to hybrid? Also I've played enough games with these sliders to know that I'm not just in a bad run... Even when I have a good offensive game with 5+ runs I still manage to strike out a lot, and to bad pitchers too.

Honestly you really need to suck it up and learn how to lay off the junk. Also learning how to check swing effectively using the contact swing. It is really rewarding to learn the art of hitting in this game. And yes even when you get good at it....the game will still humble you.

There are no money plays like in other sports games. And that is why this is truly the best sports sim ever made.
